Course Description

This two part course is required to teach Pharmacy Technician. Prospective teachers must take the Pass Assured Pedagogy as well as contact Louisiana Pharmacy Board for information on criteria. There are certain teaching certifications that qualify someone to teach Pharmacy Technician. If the district is not aware of these teacher certifications, please contact Debbie Cruz at debbie.cruz@.

ProStart is a nationally recognized curriculum sponsored by the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA). This two-year program is designed for high school juniors and seniors, who may earn an industry-based certification upon completion. Students must pass an examination at the end of each year and must work in a participating restaurant as well as complete the coursework. At the workshop, teachers will gain knowledge and experience through industry-driven training. Teachers and school sites must be approved by the LRA in order to participate in this program.
