Any extra credit offered will be for the entire class and will not amount to more than 5% of the semester grade. Here is your first extra credit opportunity: Any student who turns in their binder with all notes, checkpoints, quizzes, tests and assignments completed in chronological order will receive 10 points extra credit. This will be collected before taking the final exam.Reassessment Policy: Retaking a test or quiz is not an option for Algebra 2Testing Policy:Aids: No aids to be used except in the case of documented IEP or 504 Plan accommodations.Time Limit: Assessments will not exceed one class period. No additional time provided except in the case of documented IEP or 504 Plan accommodations.Academic Integrity Policy:Chippewa Valley Schools academic integrity policy will be adhered to. Cell Phone PolicyMy classroom is a designated “Red Room” meaning cell phone use is not allowed. I encourage you to leave your cell phone in your locker during my hour. Any unexcused absence on the day of a quiz or test will be given a zero for that assessment. If you are tardy on the day of a quiz or test you will be expected to use the remaining class time to take the assessment. If you have an excused absence for the day of a quiz or test you must make arrangements to make it up as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to make up all work missed due to your absence. Any work not made up will be given a zero. Quiz/Test CorrectionsQuiz and Test Corrections are mandated to be done on all assessments and will be collected for homework points.Question #:Correct Answer:Topic/SectionWhat I did wrong was…The correct work is…How to be successful:Take good Notes: You should always have your class notes out when completing assignments. You are expected to take notes as they help you tremendously with your homework and study skills. There is material that is only covered in the notes and not in the textbook. So, be sure to take “good notes”.Always be on time and ready to learn when the bell rings. Have your homework out and ready to ask questions.Do every assignment practicing the mathematics is the only way to learn it. Do problems until you have mastered the content. You may even do more problems than assigned. If you don’t understand something, ask. You will always have the opportunity to ask questions on any assignment. If you don’t understand it ASK, that is why I am here.Find a study partner with someone in the class. This is helpful when you are absent or have questions.Stay Organized: We don’t use our text books, so being organized is essential to doing well.Second Semester Units and Standards:Radical Expressions and Equations HYPERLINK "" N.RN.A.1N.RN.A.2Simplify radical expressions.
