Purchased this for an inmate - they could only have softcover books and he wanted a combination dictionary and thesaurus. He received it and said it was perfect for hiw human spell-check to go along with his pen and paper wordprocessor.

this is definitely going to be kept and well used. thick, which in this case, a good thing. tons of words, good font, definitely useful

I got this for my son to help him with his school work, it has been a great help to his studies. Teaching himself in jail while we clear his name with just his school books and this book he is getting a "B" in all his classes.

I grew up with a large dictionary at my side during homework time. These days you can search for anything online. However, it is still convenient to have this tool at my side. It's small print, but easy to use. There's nothing flashy about it, but it gets the job done.

My 15yr old kept begging me to get onto the computer or tablet to "google" the definitions of words he had on his vocabulary lists. I wanted to make sure he knew how to look up words, definitions, synonyms and antonyms the good ol' fashioned way. Now he doesn't even ask, just pulls out his trusty dictionary and thesaurus and looks up everything on his own. He's even taught his younger brother, 10yrs old, how to use the book now.

Right size for locker and backpack. Still a good size so the kids can see the words clearly. Easy to use. I like that it is 2 in one that way we didn't have to find a dictionary and a thesaurus for our son to care around.

i ordered this for a friend who says he likes it and is getting a lot of use out of it. the book was rather slow in arriving, however. but when i contacted the company about this, they responded promptly and assured me it would eventually get there, which it did.
