National Aquaculture Development Authority of Sri Lanka (NAQDA) Vacancies

Applications are invited for the under mentioned posts from citizens of Sri Lanka possessing the requisite qualifications and experience.

Post: Aquaculturist

Qualifications and Experience For external candidates

(a) B.Sc. General degree in Bio-science or a Special degree in one of the areas of Zoology/Fisheries/ Aquaculture or B.Sc. Degree in Food Science & Nutrition, Agriculture/Veterinary Science which is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) OR

(b) Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the National Vocational Qualification Level 7, issued by a Technical/Vocational training institute accepted by a Technical/Vocational Education Commission

OR (c) Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the National Vocational

Qualification Level 6, issued by a Technical/Vocational training institute accepted by the Technical/Vocational training institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission

AND

At least five (05) years post qualifying experience in a relevant field in a Corporation, Board or a Reputed Statutory Institution.

OR (d) Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the National Vocational

Quafication Level 5, issued by a technical/Vocational training institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.

AND (e) At least ten (10) years post qualifying experience in a relevant field in a corporation, Board or

a Reputed Statutory Institution.

For internal candidates

(a) Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates

OR

(b) Completion of minimum five (05) years satisfactory service in a post of the "Management Assistant ? Technological" (MA 2 -1) Grade ii in the subject area relevant to the post.

Salary Scale : JM- 1 -1- 2006 A: Rs. (20525 ? 10 x 365 ? 18 x 550-34075) : JM -1 ? 1- 2016 ? 42600 ? 10 x 755 ? 18 x 1135 ? 70,580/-

01 Applicants from the Government / Local governmental departments / Corporations/ Statutory bodies should channel their applications through the respective heads. .

02 Age: Should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.
