Significant Other Policy - Rogue Valley Country Club

Significant Other Policy

A Significant Other is a single person who becomes domiciled with an unmarried, widow, widower, or divorced member. The two individuals must be at least 18 years of age. The Significant Other will have the same privileges as the member upon payment of dues equivalent to their membership category. All unmarried minor children and grandchildren (under the age of 18) shall be entitled to the same Club privileges of the class of membership as the member. The term "children" shall include stepchildren and adopted children.

Requirements: Two forms of joint responsibility 1. Joint mortgage, lease, or rental agreement. 2. Joint ownership of a motor vehicle, joint checking account, or joint credit account. 3. Designation of the partner in durable property and health care powers of attorney. 4. Each has an Oregon's Driver's License with the same address.

If two full golf members apply for a Significant Other Membership, an administration fee of $1,000 will be applied when transferring to a Significant Other Membership if both members are in good standing with the Club. The member may designate no more than one person to be considered as a Significant Other in a 36 month period. The member and the Significant Other will be jointly and individually responsible for all charges incurred for all goods and services provided by RVCC irrespective of the person receiving the goods and services. This includes all fees, assessments, and any other items provided to the member or Significant Other. In the event it becomes necessary to initiate collection procedures in order for RVCC to collect any outstanding monies owed to RVCC, the member and Significant Other will be jointly and individually responsible for any outstanding balances plus any service fees, court costs, or attorney fees associated with the collection process. This policy would be affective June 1, 2015; previous designated Significant Others under the current policy will be grandfathered. If approved, the Significant Other Policy (Section 3 RVCC Policies) will be incorporated in the Significant Other application.
