In our ongoing efforts to improve customer service, NYCHA has designed a faster and simpler way for you to complete your Annual Recertification in a few easy steps!

You are receiving this letter because you have been selected to complete your Annual Recertification online. This means you will not receive your Affidavit of Income (AOI) paper packet in the mail. Instead, you will receive an Online Recertification Notification Letter that provides step-by-step guidelines on how to complete your Annual Recertification using the Tenant Self-Service Portal on the NYCHA website.

Please note that you will need an active email address to register and log-on at the Tenant Self-Service Portal. If you do not have an email address, you can easily create one using free services such as Gmail from Google, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL, etc. Once you have an email address you can go online and register at the Tenant Self-Service Portal. You can review your basic tenant information, including your case status, as well as submit your Annual Recertification information when it is due for completion.

You can access the Tenant Self-Service Portal on the NYCHA Website or by typing the following address into your browser's address bar:

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires NYCHA to verify your family composition and income every 12 months. As a result, Tenants are asked to complete and submit an Annual Recertification. Staff will review and verify the information Tenants submit and determine the new monthly rent.

Assistance is available at your local Management Office or at one of the following NYCHA locations:

If you have issues with registering or logging in, please click on the "Registration/Login Issues" link and provide the requested information. If you continue to experience issues with registration or login, call or visit your local Management Office.

If you do not have access to a computer or the Internet, please visit one of NYCHA's Customer Contact Center locations listed below to use a computer kiosk. You can also use any public computer that may be easily accessible, for example at the public library or community centers.
