No purchase necessary. Your participation in this contest constitutes full and conditional agreement and acceptance of the contest rules. By participating in the contest, each participant agrees that they meet the eligibility requirements and that they have read, accept and agree to be bound by the rules (the "Contest Rules").

Contest Period

The Contest period is from June 1, 2017 at 12:00:01 a.m. Mountain Time and ends on October 31, 2017 at 11:59:59 p.m. Mountain Time (the "Contest Period").

Eligibility

The Contest is open to all legal residents of Alberta who are 18 years or older at the time of entry.

Employees, Directors, agents, contractors, and persons domiciled with Employees, Directors, agents and contractors, of Mountain View Credit Union ("MVCU") and its subsidiaries are not eligible to enter the Contest.

Mortgages sourced through a broker are not eligible for the Contest.

How to Enter There are three (3) ways to enter:

1.

You will receive one (1) entry ("Entry") into the Contest when:

? You apply for, or switch from another financial institution into, a new MVCU Residential Mortgage, or MVCU HomePlan Plus with an installment loan, ("MVCU Mortgage") at a Mountain View Credit Union branch during the Contest Period; and

? The MVCU Mortgage is approved and funds are advanced within the Contest Period into a closed mortgage with a term of four (4) years or more and a minimum mortgage amount of $100,000.00.

If the MVCU Mortgage has more than one borrower, only one Entry, which will be in the name of all borrowers, will be entered into the Contest.

All mortgage applications are subject to meeting Mountain View Credit Union's normal credit criteria.

2.

You will receive one (1) Entry into the Contest when:

You renew your existing MVCU Residential Mortgage, or MVCU HomePlan Plus with an installment loan, with a minimum renewal balance of $100,000.00 into a closed mortgage term of four (4) years or longer during the Contest Period.

If a MVCU Mortgage has more than one borrower, only one Entry, which will be in the name of all borrowers, will be entered into the Contest.

3. No Purchase Entry: To enter the Contest without making a purchase, provide an original hand-written essay of a minimum of 500 words on "What I would do if I was Living Mortgage Free for A Year" ("Essay"). Provide your name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime and evening telephone numbers and mail it with your completed Essay in a sealed envelope to: Mountain View Credit Union Marketing Department #401, 6501 ? 51 Street Olds, AB, T4H 1Y6

The Entry must be postmarked during the Contest Period and received no later than October 31, 2017. Entries that are illegible, incomplete, inaccurate, lost, misdirected or late will be void and ineligible for the Contest.

There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person regardless of entry method.

Prize One (1) Prize of $20,000 CAD (the Prize) is available to be won.

The Prize is the approximate value of the principal and interest payments for 1 year on a mortgage of $350,000.00 CAD with an interest rate of 2.79% and a 25-year amortization period and with 12 monthly payments of $1,618.88 paid once per month. It does not include any pre-payments or pre-payment charges.

The winner is entitled to the entire Prize regardless of any difference between the Prize value and their actual mortgage payments.

If the winner is selected from Entry Method 1 or 2, the Prize will be divided into 12 equal monthly payments and deposited into the winner's MVCU personal chequing or savings CAD Mortgage payment account (the Account) each month prior to the monthly Mortgage payment withdrawal.

If the Prize cannot be deposited into the winner's Account, or if the winner does not have an Account, or for any other reason, MVCU reserves the right to make the payment directly to the Mortgage each month. If there is any positive difference between the Prize amount and the monthly Mortgage payment, the winner will receive the difference through 12 monthly payments by cheque made payable to the winner and mailed to the address on the Mortgage documentation.

If the winner is selected from Entry Method 3, the winner will receive 12 monthly payments by cheque made payable to the winner and mailed to the address provided on the mail-in Entry.

The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable except at the sole and absolute discretion of MVCU.

Winner Selection The odds winning are dependent on the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest.

On December 1, 2017, at the Mountain View Credit Union Branch in Olds, Alberta, at approximately 2:00 p.m., one (1) eligible entrant will be selected by random draw from all eligible Entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will be open for the public to attend.

The selected entrant will be notified during regular business hours by telephone: for an Entry received via Method 1 or 2, at the telephone number associated with the MVCU Mortgage; or for an Entry received via Method 3, at the telephone number provided in the mail-in Entry, within seven (7) calendar days of the draw date.

Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered in person or by telephone.

The selected entrant will be required to sign and return, within ten (10) calendar dates of notification, MVCU's Declaration of Liability, Waiver and Publicity Release (the "Release") form.

If the selected entrant: i. cannot be contacted by telephone within seven (7) calendar days of selection or there is a return of

any prior notification as undeliverable; ii. fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; or iii. does not sign and return the properly executed Release within the specified time,

the Entry can, in the sole and absolute discretion of MVCU, be disqualified and a new eligible winner selected from all remaining Entries.

MVCU's winner selection and decision will be final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.

Agreement, Consent and Release

By entering this contest, each entrant expressly consents to:

? these Contest Rules; ? MVCU, its subsidiaries and agents using the selected entrant's name, address, likeness in any form

and any statements the entrant made regarding the Prize, for advertising relating to the Contest, without further notice, permission or compensation in any publicity or for promotional purposes carried out by or on behalf of MVCU; ? release the MVCU, its affiliated companies and agents, and each of their respective Employees, Officers, Directors, agents, contractors and representatives (collectively "Released Parties") and assigns from any liability in connection with the Contest, the entrant's participation therein and/or the awarding and use or misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; ? hold harmless the Released Parties against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described) with respect to or arising out of:

i. the entrant's participation in the Contest; ii. the receipt or use/misuse of the Prize (or any component thereof) awarded therein; and iii. the administration of the Contest and distribution of the Prize; ? any form of compensation, permission, or notification; and MVCU, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her Entry for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with MVCU's Privacy Policy available at: mvcu.ca/privacy unless the entrant otherwise agrees to receive further communications from MVCU; and ? MVCU retaining and using this information for future marketing of its products and services. General Rules

1. All Entries become the property of MVCU and will not be returned.

2. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of MVCU with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.

3. Any income taxes and any other expenses not specified herein are the winner's sole responsibility.

4. MVCU reserves the right to disqualify any person and void the Entry of that person who it believes has tampered with the Entry process or any other component of the Contest, whose conduct or action affects the administration, security or fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, or who fails to meet or abide by the Contest Rules.

5. MVCU is not responsible for late, lost, illegible, fraudulent, misdirected, incomplete, mutilated or destroyed Entries, Entries bearing insufficient postage or inaccurate Entry information, whether caused by equipment used in this Contest or human processing error, or otherwise. All such Entries will be void.

6. MVCU does not assume any responsibility, and is not liable for, any failure of the telephone number during the Contest, tampering, theft, defects, viruses, human errors including negligence, deletions, technical or telephone, network, server, access providers, undeliverable messages, computer errors, lost, misdirected, late or incomplete Entries or inaccurate capture of information or the failure of MVCU to receive or process any Entry and otherwise award the Prize. MVCU is not responsible for printing errors appearing in these Contest Rules or related Contest materials. In addition, MVCU will not assume any responsibility of any nature whatsoever in all cases where their inability to hold the Contest or to remit the Prize to the winner results from a cause beyond their control, including acts of god, weather conditions, strike, lock-out or other labour dispute.

7. MVCU reserves the right to: i. cancel or suspend this Contest in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind without prior notice or obligation, and ii. withdraw or amend this Contest in any way, in the event of an error, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of MVCU that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules.
