COMPASS 2015 Placement Exam Overview



What is COMPASS Placement Test?COMPASS is a computerized test that is designed to evaluate a student’s knowledge and skills in reading, writing, and math. This test can be taken in sections and at separate times. The COMPASS e-write is the only section of the test that must be completed in an allotted amount of time. Results of the COMPASS Placement Test help to determine how prepared a student is for college level coursework. Depending on test results, students will be placed in college credit, developmental, and/or non-credit (pre-credit) classes.Students are eligible to retest once within a 12 month period, for a small nominal fee, after the original COMPASS test score(s) expire.? Students can retest provided they?have not already begun a sequence of courses for placement test subject areas.? COMPASS test scores expire annually.Visit to review sample questions to prepare for the COMPASS Test.
