Friday Evening Confessions

Each Friday evening from 4pm to 5pm, Confessions will be heard by one or both of our parish priests, depending on availability. Unless both priests are away on retreat, there will always be at least one priest in the confessional that time.

Second Collection--Parishes in Collaboration

June 3rd and 4th Today's second collection is for the purpose of assisting parishes in the Diocese of Orange that exhibit ongoing needs that cannot be paid for by their ordinary income and has urgent needs (such as repairs, maintenance, and safety issues). All Money donated to this collection is put into a restricted fund that will be administered by a group consisting of laity and clergy of the diocese. Parishes with needs as stated above will apply for grants from this fund to be used for their specific needs. Thank you for your generosity.

Please continue to prayerfully consider the amount of your pledge. Together we are united in the

Catholic faith and by helping others we are actively Living Our Faith. Thank you for your participation and generosity in the life of the parish and diocese.

Diocesan Priests on Retreat

Daily Mass at 8am with Fr. Gregory Dick. Each year the diocesan priests gather with the bishop for a week long retreat and conference. There will be a daily Mass at 8am in the parish

each day. Please keep the priests in your prayers

Why Tithe with Envelopes or ParishPay?

Why is it important to actually use envelopes (or ParishPay) to make your weekly contributions rather than just putting cash into the collection basket? Because somewhere down the line you will probably come to the parish in need of contribution verification, especially for income taxes purposes or to qualify for Catholic Tuition Rates at your child's Catholic School. We are able to track weekly donations only when our parishioners use their envelopes or utilize electronic fund transfer through ParishPay. Loose cash or checks do not get posted to our database. To have your tithing documented please be sure to use either the envelopes or ParishPay so we may properly record your contribution to the parish. When including a check in the donation envelope, please write your envelope number (which is also your Parish ID number) in the memo line of your check, as well as list the check number on the envelope. Mass with Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated on the second Saturday (June 10) of every month during the 8am Mass. Come and experience the power of faith and the healing presence of God.

T-Shirt Design Contest The 2017 Camino de Santiago committee is calling all artists, future artists and creative parishioners! Enter the contest to create the 2017 Camino de Santiago T-Shirt and win a free registration, a t-shirt that you designed and $50. Your creation can be the face of the 2017 Camino de Santiago. UNLAWFUL SOLICTATORS

As you may know in recent weeks we've been visited by unwelcome solicitors. Originally they were not on Santiago property, last Sunday they violated Lake Forest City Ordinance covering private property and came on our property to the Parish Hall in front of the Church. We will have them removed either voluntarily or by the police. Please do not be confused the Lake Forest police know of this group, its much larger than we see and in fact are bused into Lake Forest. This is not a family living on the fringes, its a scam. However recognizing "who are we to judge" we recommend you DO NOT give them money, instead tell them to call 211. 211 is Orange County services hot-line it's answered by a human with lists of resources where one can obtain almost any service they need. food, shelter, health issues, both mental and physical. Please DO NOT give them money.

Dearest Parish Family,

God be with us always.

A Blessed Feast of the Pentecost! And Happy Birthday to us all! Traditionally this is regarded as when the Church began after the Holy filled the Apostles with gifs that hey proclaimed the Gospel and many joined their Community of Faith. IT IS ALL ABOUT LOVE. Since, Creation, all has been an expression and manifestation of our Loving Father's abiding, compassionate and perfect love. The Supreme expression is the gift of our Risen Lord Jesus' Paschal Mystery. The enduring Presence is the Gift of the Holy Spirit. May this day be a blessed and grace-filled one to us who receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Congratulations to our Adult Confirmation Candidates who received the Sacraments today. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to their sponsors and those responsible for their intensive formation led by Tom. Now is the time for our sisters and brothers who were confirmed to reflect and pray how they can engage and participate as fully initiated members of the Church. Let me also take this opportunity to thank German Roa for speaking on behalf of the PSA in all our Spanish Masses. It is now left to you the members of our parish family to respond to the appeal. After one of the Masses last Sunday, John Santy, who is one of our altar servers and his family gave me an envelope. He was encouraged to share with me what was inside. He told me that Saturday (May 27) he sold Lemonade and made $ 21.45. All these was in an envelope he gave me to which he included $ 6.00 of his own. It touched my heart that he would be so generous to help the poor and sick who he wanted to help with this gift. This just shows that no one is beyond the capacity to give especially if one puts one heart and mind in doing it. Sometimes reality takes time to set-in. You must have already heard it from someone who whispered it to you that Fr. Greg Marquez has been promoted to become the Pastoral Administrator of Im-

maculate Heart of Mary Parish in Santa Ana starting this July 2017. We are very grateful for the three years he has so lovingly served our Parish Family for the past three years. We wish him well and pray for his success. IT IS ALL ABOUT LOVE. There are more stories and examples out there ? these are the Gifts of the Hole Spirit in action. Pope Francis Grants Plenary Indulgence

For the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal, Pope Francis grants a plenary indulgence opportunity throughout the entire anniversary year 2017. To obtain this indulgence, the faithful must also fulfill the ordinary conditions: go to Confession and Communion, be interiorly detached from sin, and pray for the intentions of the Holy Father.

One of the three ways to obtain the plenary indulgence is prayer before any statue of our Lady of Fatima. "Visit with devotion a statue of Our Lady of Fatima solemnly exposed for public veneration in any church, oratory or proper place during the days of the anniversary of the apparitions, the 13th of each month from May to October, 2017: there devoutly participate in some celebration or prayer in honor of Our Lady" Those seeking an indulgence must also pray an Our Father, recite the Creed and invoke Our Lady of Fatima. Santiago de Compostela faith community continues to celebrate our Lady's Anniversary providing the opportunity to receive this indulgence. On Tuesday, June 13, and every 13th of the month thereafter until October, there will be a Living Rosary in the church at 7:00pm (with the exception of Sunday, August 13 at 3:00pm). Please come and join us do what our Blessed Mother asked of us 100 years ago "Pray the Rosary."

Are You Prepared for Your Child's Baptism? Baptism classes are held the first Friday evening of every month (July 7th). Class attendance by parents and godparents must be completed in order for your baby to be Baptized. The Baptism procedures and Baptism registration forms can be easily downloaded

El grupo de oraci?n Cristo Rey te invita a la noche de alabanza y oraci?n este pr?ximo viernes 16 de junio de 2017. Nuestras reuniones comienzan con la Santa Misa a las 6:30 pm.

Crochet con Amor

Aqu? en Santiago contamos con un grupo muy bueno y divertido de personas que se re?nen a tejer (crochet y tejido a dos agujas) todos los Viernes de 5pm a 8pm en la biblioteca localizada en el Parish Hall.

Si sabes poco o nada de tejido o eres experto aqu? todos son bienvenidos. Para cualquier informaci?n puedes llamar a Blanca Guti?rrez al 949-306-3304.

Aceptamos donaciones de estambre.

Retiro para Sacerdotes Diocesanos

5 al 9 de junio

Cada a?o los sacerdotes diocesanos se re?nen con el Obispo para asistir a un retiro de una semana de duraci?n. En nuestra parroquia tendremos la Misa diaria a las 8 am como de costumbre. Las Misas diarias ser?n presididas por el Padre Gregory Dick

Mantengamos a nuestros sacerdotes en nuestras oraciones.

Pentecost Sunday

?Est? el Esp?ritu Santo en tu vida?

En nuestra Iglesia celebramos cada a?o muchas fiestas. Las m?s importantes de todo el a?o son: Navidad, Pascua y Pentecost?s, sin embargo, la menos festejada es la fiesta de Pentecost?s, aunque es una fiesta de la Iglesia universal la cual se celebra 50 d?as despu?s de la Resurrecci?n de Jes?s.

En la fiesta de Pentecost?s celebramos la venida del Esp?ritu santo, la promesa de Jes?s a sus disc?pulos de que no los dejar?a hu?rfanos y el nacimiento de nuestra Santa iglesia.

En nuestro bautismo recibimos el Esp?ritu Santo y en la confirmaci?n recibimos la plenitud del Esp?ritu Santo. Cuando somos confirmados recibimos una marca, un sello imborrable en nuestra alma.

Pero... ?c?mo podemos saber si el Esp?ritu Santo est? activo en nuestra vida? Lo siguiente es una lista que nos puede ayudar a saber cu?les son los efectos cuando de verdad permitimos que el Esp?ritu Santo dirija nuestra vida:

1. La alegr?a y libertad inmensa de saberme hijo\hija de Dios

2. Conciencia plena de su presencia activa en mi vida.

3. Un deseo grande de ser transformado. 4. Deseo grande de alabar y dar gracias a Dios

en todo momento, aunque todo no valla bien. 5. Un profundo sentido de comuni?n de unos

con otros. 6. Amor profundo por la Iglesia. 7. Hambre de querer leer las escrituras. 8. Urgencia de querer hablar de Jes?s a todo

mundo. 9. Buscar querer ser dirigidos por el Esp?ritu

Santo.

Este Domingo 4 de junio estamos celebrando en nuestra Iglesia la fiesta de Pentecost?s y la venida del Esp?ritu Santo sobre los Ap?stoles.

Querido hermano, querida hermana, si encuentras que el Esp?ritu Santo no est? a?n activo en tu vida, no te preocupes, todo lo que tienes que hacer es orar con devoci?n e invocarlo y pedirle que venga y encienda el fuego de su amor en tu coraz?n.

?Qu? el Esp?ritu Santo sea derramado en cada uno de ustedes!

Ahora nuestra comunidad de Santiago de Compostela tiene un grupo de oraci?n en espa?ol que es devoto al rezo del Rosario. Ven a la Capilla del Sant?simo todos los lunes a las 7 pm y acomp??anos a rezar el Rosario por las
