SUPPLIERS OF GOODS, SERVICES AND WORKS

In keeping with the Government's commitment to strengthen and promote Public Procurement, the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service (MOF&PS), Office of Public Procurement Policy (OPPP) is on a drive to expand the use of the Government of Jamaica Electronic Procurement System (GOJEP) to its suppliers of goods, services and works. This is in keeping with the commitment of the Government to all procurement opportunities published and managed through GOJEP.

Suppliers are being urged to register their businesses in GOJEP and take advantage of the free training sessions facilitated by the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service in the use of the system during the month of August.

Registration is easy, simply download and read the User Manuals, accessible from the User Manuals link on the Home page at .jm.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT

COORDINATOR- ECHO

JAMAICA Support for the Health Systems Strengthening for the Prevention and Care Management of Non-Communicable Diseases Programme Loan No: JA-L1049 Assignment Title: COORDINATOR -ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes)

The Government of Jamaica has received financing from the InterAmerican Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of the Support for the Health Systems Strengthening for the Prevention and Care Management of Non-Communicable Diseases Programme, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services ("the Services") include managing the day-to-day operations of the Hub, coordinating and facilitating information flow between the Office of ECHO Hub (the MOHW) and ECHO spoke participants in rural and urban areas. The assignment is for a duration of twelve months.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the Services. The requirements are:

? A university degree in computer science, health informatics, health sciences, health/hospital administration, public health, or business administration, or related field.

? Minimum 5 years of experience working in a programme or project administrative capacity. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

The attention of Interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the IDB's: Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2350-9, March 2011, setting forth the IDB's policy on conflict of interest. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Selection of Individual Consultants method set out in the IDB's Policies.

Assignment Title: IT SPECIALIST ?ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes)

The Government of Jamaica has received financing from the InterAmerican Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of the Support for the Health Systems Strengthening for the Prevention and Care Management of Non-Communicable Diseases Programme, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services ("the Services") will include IT implementation and ongoing technical support for the telementoring programme as well as assessment of the current infrastructure at healthcare sites across Jamaica to identify what technology needs to be in place to support implementation of the distance learning and web-conferencing technology and lead the implementation of the technology in collaboration with local IT resources. The assignment is for a duration of eighteen months.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the Services. The requirements are:

? A university degree from an accredited institution in computer science, health informatics, health/hospital administration, public health, or business administration

? Five years of experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support, preferably in a healthcare environment.

? Minimum two year's of experience conducting technology assessments.

? Minimum three year's experience with planning, implementing and supporting video conferencing solutions, technologies and infrastructure.
