Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania offers many opportunities to invest and grow your business and real estate portfolio. The Keystone Innovation Zone Tax Credit program offers incentives for sites located within the City of Scranton, Jessup Small Business Center, Carbondale Technology Transfer Center and Mount Pleasant Corporate Center. The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, through our economic development affiliate The Scranton Plan and our IGNITE Program, is focused on supporting the growth of entrepreneurship in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

ABOUT KIZ

Designed to foster innovation and create entrepreneurial opportunities the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) Tax Credit Program is part of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's economic stimulus package. This incentive program is available to for-profit companies that are less than eight years old, operating within a specific targeted industry and within the boundaries of the KIZ.

KEYSTONE INNOVATION ZONE FAQ'S

Eligible applicant businesses must be for-profit and located within the geographic boundaries of a KIZ Be in operation less than 8 years Operating within one of the KIZ-targeted industry segments or sectors Meeting any other requirements as specified by the Department of Community and Economic Development Applications must be submitted on or before September 15 of each year. The KIZ Tax Credits will be awarded on December 15 of the year the application was submitted.
