Practicum Student, Carolinas Medical Center-Randolph, Intensive Outpatient Program.
Conduct group and individual therapy with children and adolescents diagnosed with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, or both. Methods of intervention utilized include structured psychotherapy groups, psychoeducation, recreation therapy, and parenting skills groups for parents.

Practicum Student, Carolina Center for Development and Rehabilitation (CCDR). Conducted structured clinical interviews, cognitive rehabilitation, individual psychotherapy, and health and behavior interventions. Administered psychodiagnostic tests and neuropsychological assessments, prepared reports, and planned treatment. Served patients ranging from children to older adults with varying neurological, physiological, and psychological diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, dementia, and conversion disorder. Conduct interviews in the community with Hispanic residents of Cabarrus County in order to investigate alcohol use, acculturation, and domestic violence in this population. Compiled survey materials, built database, and supervise data collection and entry for this grant.

Managed online and community data collection, supported the establishment of new community partners, and prepared manuscripts related to ongoing data collection examining relationships between community connections, risky behaviors, and psychological health in African American adolescents.
