Courage

We are more than conquerors through Him who first loved us - (Christ Jesus) – Romans 8:37

Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.  ~C.S. Lewis

Valor is stability, not of legs and arms, but of courage and the soul.  ~Michel de Montaigne

Courage is reckoned the greatest of all virtues; because, unless a man has that virtue, he has no security for preserving any other.  ~Samuel Johnson

Courage is being scared to death... and saddling up anyway.  ~John Wayne

Courage is never to let your actions be influenced by your fears.  ~Arthur Koestler

Perfect courage means doing unwitnessed what we would be capable of with the world looking on.  ~François, Duc de La Rochefoucauld, Maxims, 1678

One man with courage makes a majority.  ~Andrew Jackson

It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare.  ~Mark Twain

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.  ~Ambrose Redmoon

Have I not commanded you? “Be strong and courageous, Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” God – Joshua 1:9

It is Impossible to Rightly Govern the World

without God and the Bible. Attributed to George Washington, 1st President

Hold fast to the Bible as the sheet anchor of your liberties. Write its precepts in your hearts, and practice them in your lives. To the influence of this book are we indebted for all the progress made in true civilization, and to this we must look as our guide in the future. Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

– Ulysses S. Grant, 18th President & General of the Union forces – an Ohio son.

It cannot be emphasized too clearly and too often that this nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Attributed to Patrick Henry – Governor of Virginia

Rhode Island Charter of 1683

“We submit our person, lives, and estates unto our Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, and to all those perfect and most absolute laws He has given us in His Holy Word.”

The Loss of Virtue

Samuel Adams, the great American patriot accused by King George III of being “the chief rabble-rouser” of American Independence, wrote in a letter to James Warren in 1779:

A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue, they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader. How necessary then is it for those who are determined to transmit the blessing of liberty as a fair inheritance to posterity, to associate on public principles in support of public virtue.

Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime and pure….

are undermining the solid foundations of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments.

Charles Caroll – Signer of the Declaration of Independence

In God We Trust

In God We Trust: The Motto

One of the first found references of the motto “In God We Trust” is heard in the U.S. National Anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner. The song was written by Francis Scott Key in 1814 and later adopted as the national anthem. In the last stanza Key writes a variation of the phrase: “...And this be our motto: In God is our trust. And the Star Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave, O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.” The words were shortened to In God We Trust and first applied to U.S. coins in 1864.

In God We Trust: The History

The U. S. Department of Treasury states “the motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, was placed on United States coins largely because of the increased religious sentiment existing during the Civil War. Secretary of the Treasury Salmon P. Chase received many appeals from devout persons throughout the country, urging that the United States recognize the Deity on United States coins.

From Treasury Department records, it appears that the first such appeal came in a letter dated November 13, 1861. It was written to Secretary Chase by Rev. M. R. Watkinson, Minister of the Gospel from Ridleyville, Pennsylvania. As a result, Secretary Chase instructed James Pollock, Director of the Mint at Philadelphia, to prepare a motto, in a letter dated November 20, 1861:

Dear Sir: No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins. You will cause a device to be prepared without unnecessary delay with a motto expressing in the fewest and tersest words possible this national recognition. It was found that the Act of Congress dated January 18, 1837, prescribed the mottoes and devices that should be placed upon the coins of the United States.”

Pollock suggested "Our Trust Is In God," "Our God And Our Country," "God And Our Country," and "God Our Trust." Chase picked "In God We Trust" to be used on some of the government's coins. The first time "In God We Trust" appeared on our coins was in 1864 on the new two cent coin, and by 1909 it was included on most the other coins. During the height of the cold war, on July 11, 1955, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed Public Law 140 making it mandatory that all coinage and paper currency display the motto.

In God We Trust: The Foundation

American history demonstrates repeatedly that the nation was founded on Christian principles and its founding fathers wished to acknowledge that fact all over Washington D.C. buildings, in official documents, and historical speeches. Less than a hundred years after its Declaration of Independence, In God We Trust was proclaimed on its coins. America is a free nation, and freedom of religion is still guaranteed in the Constitution’s First Amendment.

President Thomas Jefferson wrote, "The God who gave us life gave us liberty at the same time" and asked ‘Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are of God?’"

The Bible says:

"It is better to trust the LORD than to put confidence in man" (Psalm 118:8).

"He has put a new song in my mouth, praise unto our God; many shall see it, and fear and will trust in the LORD" (Psalm 40:3, NKJV).

"It is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works" (Psalm 73:28 NKJV).

"The fear of man brings a snare: but whoever puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe" (Proverbs 29:25)

Founding Principals

When our nation’s Founding Fathers gave us documents such as the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and others, they had to lean upon a common understanding of law, government, social order, and morality.  Whether each of the Founding Fathers was a Christian wasn’t really the issue, it was the fact that they embraced the following seven principals as the basis for a civilized nation. From the American Patriot’s Bible. The American Patriot’s Bible is an intense but very interesting read.  There are some well known facts, and many others I wasn’t aware of.

Principal #1  – The Dignity of Human Life Exodus 20:13 “You shall not murder”

Principal #2 – The Traditional Monogamous Family Genesis 2:23,24

Principal #3 – A National Work Ethic 2 Thessalonians 3:10

Principal #4 – The Right to a God-Centered Education Ephesians 6:4

Principal #5 – The Abrahamic Covenant Genesis 12:1-3

Principal #6 – Common Decency Matthew 22:39

Principal #7 – Our Personal Accountability to God Hebrews 9:27

From a Different Source:

Separation of Church and State defined:

There was no separation of church and state in our Constitution. The 1st Amendment was drafted so that no one denomination of the Christian faith would be set up as the Nations religion as it was in England, whom we just declared our independence from. If you notice God and Creator are found in our founding document the Declaration of Independence.

The Constitution is not devoid of Christian references, however. For example, the Constitution acknowledges Sunday as a day of rest: "If any bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a law. . ." (Article I, section 7). Moreover, there is a direct reference to the Lord Jesus Christ in the Constitution: "DONE in convention by the unanimous consent of the States present, the seventeenth of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven and of the independence of the United States of America the twelfth. In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our Names."

The preface of the U.S. Constitution use words which are frequently use by members of the Christian faith

"We the People of the United States, menaced for the past 100 years by collectivist trends, must seek Revival of Our Strength by re-Educating Ourselves in the Spiritual Foundations, Principles and Ideals which are the bedrock of our Republic, the Principle and Conviction of the Sacredness of every Human Life, and in the understanding of Our Responsibilities in the care and maintenance of those Foundations."

Dick Armey FreedomWorks fights for lower taxes, less government and more economic freedom for all Americans. FreedomWorks combines the stature and experience of America’s greatest policy entrepreneurs with the grassroots power of hundreds of thousands of volunteer activists all over the Nation. FreedomWorks led by former U.S. House Majority Leader Dick Armey, has an unrivalled ability to reach opinion leaders and elected officials with innovative policy ideas and effective strategies for change.

FreedomWorks drives policy change by training and mobilizing grassroots Americans to engage their fellow citizens and encourage their political representatives to act in defense of individual freedom and economic opportunity.

A community committed to standing together, shoulder to shoulder, to protect our country and the Constitution upon which we were founded!

Mission Statement

The impetus for the Tea Party movement is excessive government spending and taxation. Our mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with our three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.

Glenn Beck

We are not obsessed with Red States, Blue States or political parties.

We are united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created.

We seek to make positive change in public policy, get back to the Values and Principles of our Founding Fathers and to preserve our individual freedoms and the independence of our country. Please join us with your energy, ideas and American Spirit!

The 9 Principles

1. America Is Good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it. 6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results. 7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion. 9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me. The 12 Values: * Honesty * Reverence * Hope * Thrift * Humility * Charity * Sincerity* Moderation * Hard Work * Courage * Personal Responsibility * Gratitude

patriotpost.us/ About The Patriot – America's most widely read Internet-based publication, The Patriot Post, is a highly acclaimed journal advocating individual liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and the promotion of free enterprise, national defense and traditional American values.

The Patriot Post believes that individual liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and the promotion of free enterprise, national defense and traditional American values can only be secured through the exercise of individual rights and responsibilities as ordained by God and established by our nation's Founders in our Declaration of Independence and its subordinate exposition, our Republic's Constitution.

Our mission is to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a noninterventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity.

That is why the Campaign for Liberty was established: to highlight the neglected but common-sense principles we champion and reinsert them into the American political conversation.

The U.S. Constitution is at the heart of what the Campaign for Liberty stands for, since the very least we can demand of our government is fidelity to its own governing document.  Claims that our Constitution was meant to be a "living document" that judges may interpret as they please are fraudulent, incompatible with republican government, and without foundation in the constitutional text or the thinking of the Framers.  Thomas Jefferson spoke of binding our rulers down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution, and we are proud to follow in his distinguished lineage.

- The Ohio Liberty Council was initiated by members of local Tea Party groups, 912 groups, the Ohio Freedom Alliance, and the Campaign for Liberty in June 09.  It was conceived as a way to get all liberty minded groups and individuals in Ohio connected and communicating on issues and activities.  But more importantly we seek to create concerted action among all these groups in Ohio.  By working together we can be more successful and achieve real results to protect and promote liberty in Ohio.

The members of the Ohio Liberty Council initially decided that the first and most important issue for us to come together on is state sovereignty.

The Ohio Liberty Council is organized solely by grassroots volunteers.  That is why your help is so important.

smartgirlpolitics. Smart Girl Politics is a grass roots organization that promotes the opinions and principles of conservative women. We are dedicated to the advancement of conservative women in all levels of government. Men are more than welcome to join.

Accountability to Congress? How on earth can citizens do that?

The formula is really quite simple. Americans refuse to support any member of Congress – until such time as that member proves their commitment to the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution as amended. The operative word in this formula is: proves. It is insufficient for any member of Congress to justify their positions solely on political affiliation. Prior voting record may be helpful but alone will not suffice. Labels such as "conservative" or "liberal" are not enough.

How will the resistance work?

1. All Americans who care about the future of the nation are urged to secure and read a copy of the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution. A free online copy is available at .

2. From the date of July 4th, 2009, all Americans are urged to withdraw any form of support (other than prayer) from all members of Congress. This shall continue until such time as a member proves his/her genuine commitment to the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution as amended. Criteria will include public statements and most importantly votes in Congress. Party affiliation is not considered as valid criteria.

The Ohio Freedom Alliance is a diverse group of Ohio residents who have come together to preserve and protect liberty in America as it was originally intended by our founding fathers. Members of the OFA are from all different demographics and political affiliations.

The Ohio Freedom Alliance is made of of many different individuals with different beliefs on any number of issues. However, we all agree on the underlying philosophy of a constitutional, limited, federal government where the majority of the power rests in the hands of the people.

The John Birch Society

Ever since its founding in 1958 by Robert Welch, The John Birch Society has been dedicated to restoring and preserving freedom under the United States Constitution. As Robert Welch himself explained, members of The John Birch Society come from all walks of life and are active throughout the 50 states on local, regional and national levels.

United by a strong belief in personal freedom and limited government, plus a sense of duty, members of The John Birch Society have educated millions of Americans on the appropriate role of government. Using educational and concerted action tools of a wide variety — including local lobbying, distribution of literature, email campaigns, news conferences, petitions, and more — members have played a continuous, pivotal role in halting legislation and federal policies that threaten the independence of our country and our people.

Concerned Women For America CWA is built on prayer and action.

We are the nation's largest public policy women's organization with a rich 30-year history of helping our members across the country bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy.

What We Do: We help people focus on six core issues, which we have determined need Biblical principles most and where we can have the greatest impact. At its root, each of these issues is a battle over worldviews.

Mission Statement: The mission of CWA is to protect and promote Biblical values among all citizens - first through prayer, then education, and finally by influencing our society - thereby reversing the decline in moral values in our nation.

Truth for Patriots is about spreading the truth of America and its history so that God is glorified. Spreading the truth to maintain and restore our constitutional freedoms. Spreading the truth so that our children can live in freedom!

The DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children.

Psalm 106 v.3 Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right.

American Center for Law and Justice – Jay Sekulow , Chief Counsel

Quote: I will not stand by and watch your freedom as an American handed over to courts in other countries.  I refuse to remain silent while the sovereignty of the United States and Israel is forfeited to international courts.

We will NOT surrender freedom!

To turn a free people over to the control of an international court would be nothing short of suicide.  The liberties you hold dear would suddenly be subject to the dictates of hostile, anti-Christian, anti-American forces in the Muslim world, in Africa, in Asia....

It must not happen!  But there are those at the United Nations threatening the very sovereignty of our nation — and the nation of Israel!

But it's well on its way to actually happening.

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) focuses on constitutional law and is based in Washington, D.C. The ACLJ is specifically dedicated to the ideal that religious freedom and freedom of speech are inalienable, God-given rights. The Center's purpose is to educate, promulgate, conciliate, and where necessary, litigate, to ensure that those rights are protected under the law. The organization has participated in numerous cases before the Supreme Court, Federal Court of Appeals, Federal District Courts, and various state courts regarding freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

National Right to Work Legal Defense Fund

The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, established in 1968, is a nonprofit, charitable organization providing free legal aid to employees whose human or civil rights have been violated by abuses of compulsory unionism.

Liberty Counsel is a nonprofit litigation, education and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of human life and the traditional family. Established in 1989, Liberty Counsel is a nationwide organization with offices in Florida, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., and hundreds of affiliate attorneys across the Nation.

- The Heritage Foundation - The Heritage Foundation is the nation’s most broadly supported public policy research institute, with more than 515,000 individual, foundation and corporate donors. Heritage, founded in February 1973, has a staff of 244 and an expense budget of $61 million. Our Mission: To formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.

American Policy Roundtable – Dave Zanotti

Dave Zanotti currently serves as President/CEO of the American Policy Roundtable. He also serves as President of Roundtable Freedom Forum, a legislative organization and is Chairman of The Liberty Committee, a federal Political Action Committee. David Zanotti grew up in a family of six in a small home outside Cleveland, Ohio. His father was a WWII veteran. His grandparents were Italian immigrants.

A generation ago, a handful of "ordinary people" began meeting together out of a growing concern for America. Their conversations, prayers, and research led to the founding of an "extraordinary" public policy effort that would blossom into the American Policy Roundtable.

Recognizing that America is - at its core - a commitment to ideas and principles, the Roundtable was established with the mission of restoring the historic Judeo-Christian principles to American public policy. The Roundtable seeks to fulfill this mission statement by meeting three core objectives:

1) Rekindling the American Spirit-- by telling the story of Liberty every day.

2) Building networks of leaders, who will help others join in the adventure of responsible citizenship.

3) Overcoming evil in civil society by promoting positive alternatives in public policy.

Dave Zanotti: Can the members of the US Congress really be that smart? In the past 9 months they have taken on or taken over the financial services industry, the auto industry, stimulating the national economy, housing policy, the entire health care industry, energy policy, and now cap and trade. Ethics and Public Policy Center -Founded in 1976, the Ethics and Public Policy Center is Washington, D.C.'s premier institute dedicated to applying the Judeo-Christian moral tradition to critical issues of public policy. From the Cold War to the war on terrorism, from disputes over the role of religion in public life to battles over the nature of the family, EPPC and its scholars have consistently sought to defend the great Western ethical imperatives -- respect for the inherent dignity of the human person, individual freedom and responsibility, justice, the rule of law, and limited government.

EPPC is unique among Washington think tanks in its ability to develop and promote these ethical imperatives:

• We deal openly and explicitly with religious and moral issues in addressing contemporary issues. We work to clarify the ways in which moral principles shape the choices that political leaders must make in our democracy.

• We are genuinely ecumenical and interreligious. Our Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish scholars probe the riches of their own traditions, forge alliances within their communities, and work together to promote a shared understanding of the common good.

• Our outstanding scholars write books that are widely read, publish articles in the popular press and in scholarly journals, and appear frequently on television and radio. We have close working relationships with key public-policy leaders in the Administration and on Capitol Hill.

• Our reputation for excellence has been built up over three decades.

Through its core programs, EPPC and its scholars work to influence policymakers and to transform the culture through the world of ideas. Stanley Kurtz has some excellent articles on thi

Citizens for Community Values – Ohio based Cinncinnati

Mission: Citizens for Community Values (CCV) exists to promote Judeo-Christian moral values, and to reduce destructive behaviors contrary to those values, through education, active community partnership, and individual empowerment at the local, state and national levels.

Vision: CCV is a grassroots organization of citizens who are concerned for the well-being of the community, the strength of its families, and the future of its children. We strive to be a leader in the restoration of those Judeo-Christian moral values upon which this country was founded in hopes of leaving a lasting legacy of citizens endeavoring to foster and maintain healthy, wholesome, safe, and happy communities.

How CCV Strives to Effect Change:

CCV is a First Amendment free speech organization. In all of our efforts, we resolve to abide by existing Supreme Court decisions, oppose unauthorized censorship, and defend the rights of free speech and community involvement. We are also diligent in our efforts to encourage and affect legislation that protects family, and oppose legislation that is harmful to those Judeo-Christian moral values upon which this country was founded. In all of our efforts, we resolve to separate issues and legislation from people, acknowledging that we are all created in the image of God. In CCV’s efforts to defend that which is right and good, we will never condone or take part in the mistreatment of any individual who opposes our views.

CCV - Impacting America:

A noteworthy achievement of CCV was the coordination of the first Impact America Conference on Pornography, Sexually Oriented Businesses, and Material Harmful to Children. The conference features speakers from the nation’s most prominent and effective pro-family organizations. Because of its success, Impact America has become an annual event held in different cities across the nation.

Our goal is to stop the exploitation of our children, especially by the entertainment media (TV, music, movies, etc.). Mom, is the most powerful tool you have to stand against the immorality, violence, vulgarity and profanity the entertainment media is throwing at your children. It is time to fight back!

We are searching for one million moms who are willing to join the fight for our children. We want our children to have the best chance possible of living in a moral society.

Focus on the Family's Mission Statement: To cooperate with the Holy Spirit in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible by nurturing and defending the God-ordained institution of the family and promoting biblical truths worldwide.

Vision: Redeemed families, communities, and societies worldwide through Christ.

Guiding Principles: Since Focus on the Family's primary reason for existence is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a practical outreach to homes, we have firm beliefs about both the Christian faith and the importance of the family. This ministry is therefore based upon six guiding philosophies that are apparent at every level throughout the organization. These "pillars" are drawn from the wisdom of the Bible and the Judeo-Christian ethic, rather than from the humanistic notions of today's theorists. In short, Focus on the Family is a reflection of what we believe to be the recommendations of the Creator Himself, who ordained the family and gave it His blessing.

Focus on the Family/Citizenlink/Focus Action - Dr. James Dobson (great weekly videos on current events: Stoplight and Turnsignal)

–Focus on the Family Action is a cultural action organization that is completely separate from Focus on the Family, legally. It has been created by separating out of Focus on the Family those activities which constitute lobbying under the IRS code so that they can be expanded in scope. It will provide a platform for informing, inspiring and rallying those who care deeply about the family to greater involvement in the moral, cultural and political issues that threaten our nation.

In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world. Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.1 Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation. To counter this slide within the body of Christ, we are launching one of the most ambitious and powerful projects in the history of our ministry—Focus on the Family's The Truth Project.

American Family Association – Don Wildmon

The American Family Association represents and stands for traditional family values and exists to motivate and equip citizens to reform our culture to reflect Biblical truth on which it was founded. We believe that God has communicated absolute truth to man through nature and the Bible, and that all men everywhere and at all times are subject to His authority. Therefore, a culture based on Biblical truth best serves the well-being of our country as evidenced by the vision of our forefathers as set forth in the Declaration of Independence.

For 37 years, Eagle Forum has hosted an annual conference, Eagle Council, to train conservative leaders from across the country how to lobby. While planning for its 38th Eagle Council, it became clear that this year Eagle Forum should spread it’s wings further than its own membership and join with other conservative, pro-family groups to host its annual conference and teach conservatives “How to Take Back America.” Together, Janet Folger Porter, president and founder of Faith2Action, and I have joined together with a consortium of conservative organizations to host a top-rate, momentum building, leadership conference that will teach the grassroots how to use the internet and how to connect after the conference using new technologies like “Webinar,” as well as equip them with talking points on battle-front issues and record every workshop to distribute online after the conference.

We oppose opening U.S. northern and southern borders to a North American Community, or Security and Prosperity Partnership, or any kind of economic integration.

We oppose all encroachments against American sovereignty through United Nations treaties or conferences that try to impose global taxes, gun registration, energy restrictions, feminist goals, or regulation on our use of oceans.

We support the deployment of an anti-ballistic missile defense to protect American lives.

We support the private enterprise system and reject the false dogmas that tax-and-spend government or a global economy can solve our social and economic problems.

We support the sanctity of human life as a gift from our Creator, as proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence.

We oppose all efforts to call a new Constitutional Convention that could rewrite our U.S. Constitution.

Fighting for the American Family - FRC Action (formerly American Renewal), the non-profit and tax-exempt legislative action arm of Family Research Council, was founded in 1992 to educate the general public and cultural leaders about traditional American values and to promote the philosophy of the Founding Fathers concerning the nature of ordered liberty.

Family Research Council (FRC) was founded in 1983 as an organization dedicated to the promotion of marriage and family and the sanctity of human life in national policy.

Through books, pamphlets, media appearances, public events, debates and testimony, FRC's team of experienced policy experts review data and analyze  proposals that impact family law and policy in Congress and the executive branch.

FRC also strives to assure that the unique attributes of the family are recognized and respected through the decisions of the courts and regulatory bodies.

Take Action - The Government Affairs (GA) division is Family Research Council's voice on Capitol Hill, to the Administration and to state legislatures where we work closely with state organizations such as the Family Policy Councils and with state legislators. The staff is responsible for all legislative issues as well as coalition work and frequent strategy meetings pertaining to issues affecting the family. GA also sees it as its responsibility to coordinate strategies relating to actions between the Executive and Legislative branches, especially within federal agencies.

We are on the front lines in the battle for the American family, providing the leadership and expertise that are needed on Capitol Hill to defend the sanctity of life, the family, and a culture of faith and freedom. With an increased presence across the nation, FRC is a respected voice that legislators from both sides of the aisle turn to during debates on stem cells, marriage, judges, religious liberty, and other issues important to the family. Our legislative allies rely heavily on FRC's experience in the fight for the principles of faith and freedom without compromise, and our adversaries listen carefully to our arguments, knowing that FRC is a main participant in the battle of ideas and policies.

Christian Anti-Defamation Council – Dr. Gary Cass

Mission: The Christian Anti-Defamation Commission (CADC) is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) Education Corporation whose purpose it is to become the first-in-mind champion of Christian religious liberty, domestically and internationally, and a national clearing house and first line of response to anti-Christian defamation, bigotry, and discrimination.

The CADC will work constructively to advance a robust religious liberty in public opinion and policy so that Christians everywhere might fulfill their biblical duties to God and neighbor; to proclaim and to live out the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the whole counsel of the Word of God.

The CADC will respond in the media to attacks by any individual person or groups of persons, institutions, or nations that defame and /or discriminate against Christ, Christianity, the Holy Bible, Christian churches and institutions, Christian individuals, and Christian leader.

About ADF Purpose

The Alliance Defense Fund is a legal alliance defending the right to hear and speak the Truth through strategy, training, funding, and litigation.

The Alliance Defense Fund is humbled to have dedicated women and men serving on the "front lines" in this war, fighting for religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and marriage and the family.

Strategy and Coordination

Since 1994, we have been blessed to work with more than 300 organizations, helping to coordinate an allied effort, to avoid duplication, and to provide resources and strategic direction on cases related to our mission.

Training

The Alliance Defense Fund is the only legal ministry in the United States that provides regular, extensive, and top-level training through an accredited academy program to help practicing attorneys successfully defend and reclaim religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and marriage and the family.

Funding

Since 1994, ADF has provided millions of dollars in funding for hundreds of cases and legal projects to help win back the justice system and restore religious liberty.

Litigation Support and Partnership

The Alliance Defense Fund, working with our allies, as well as experienced litigators, directly litigates some carefully chosen, strategic cases for a unique purpose: to train newly licensed attorneys in the fine art of litigating—and winning—legal matters protecting religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and marriage and the family.

TVC believes America’s strength is in her churches. Pastors and their churches are not barred by law from being involved in the making of public policy. Traditional Values Coalition provides a multitude of information for Christians and pastors, to equip them with the information they need to be educated on issues and on the representative form of government.

Christians United for Israel   Statement of Purpose

The purpose of Christians United For Israel (CUFI) is to provide a national association through which every pro-Israel church, parachurch organization, ministry or individual in America can speak and act with one voice in support of Israel in matters related to Biblical issues. “The Lord answered me and said: 'Write the vision, And make it plain on tablets. Revealing the Myth, Lies and Flaws of Global Warming and Cap and Trade Tax

Andre is a local weatherman/forcaster –

Article: Global Warming Myth The Cato Institute was founded in 1977 by Edward H. Crane. It is a non-profit public policy research foundation headquartered in Washington, D.C. The Institute is named for Cato's Letters, a series of libertarian pamphlets that helped lay the philosophical foundation for the American Revolution.

Today, those who subscribe to the principles of the American Revolution--individual liberty, limited government, the free market, and the rule of law--call themselves by a variety of terms, including conservative, libertarian, classical liberal, and liberal. We see problems with all of those terms. "Conservative" smacks of an unwillingness to change, of a desire to preserve the status quo. Only in America do people seem to refer to free-market capitalism--the most progressive, dynamic, and ever-changing system the world has ever known--as conservative. Additionally, many contemporary American conservatives favor state intervention in some areas, most notably in trade and into our private lives.

The Constitution and American Sovereignty

"WOULD WE be far wrong," President Lincoln asked in a special message to Congress in 1861, "if we defined [sovereignty] as a political community without a political superior?" Maybe that’s not exhaustive, but it comes on good authority. And notice that for Lincoln, sovereignty is a political or legal concept. It’s not about power. Lincoln didn’t say that the sovereign is the one with the most troops. He was making a point about rightful authority……for the rest of the article go to Hillsdale website and click on Imprimus.

WallBuilders is an organization dedicated to presenting America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation on which America was built – a foundation which, in recent years, has been seriously attacked and undermined. In accord with what was so accurately stated by George Washington, we believe that "the propitious [favorable] smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation which disregards the eternal rules of order and right which heaven itself has ordained."

Why the name Wallbuilders: In the Old Testament book of Nehemiah, the nation of Israel rallied together in a grassroots movement to help rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and thus restore stability, safety, and a promising future to that great city. We have chosen this historical concept of "rebuilding the walls" to represent allegorically the call for citizen involvement in rebuilding our nation's foundations. As Psalm 11:3 reminds us, "If the foundations be destroyed, what shall the righteous do?"

Our Goal: WallBuilders' goal is to exert a direct and positive influence in government, education, and the family by (1) educating the nation concerning the Godly foundation of our country; (2) providing information to federal, state, and local officials as they develop public policies which reflect Biblical values; and (3) encouraging Christians to be involved in the civic arena.

The United States House of Representatives: The composition and powers of the House and the Senate are established in Article One of the Constitution. Each state receives representation in the House in proportion to its population but is entitled to at least one Representative. The most populous state, California, currently has 53 representatives. The total number of voting representatives is currently fixed at 435.[1] Each representative serves for a two-year term. The presiding officer of the House is the speaker, and is elected by the members of the House. The United States Senate is the upper house of the bicameral United States Congress, the lower house being the House of Representatives. The composition and powers of the Senate and the House are established in Article One of the U.S. Constitution (which does not use the terms "upper" and "lower"). Each U.S state is represented by two senators, regardless of population. This ensures equal representation of each state in the Senate. Senators serve staggered six-year terms. The chamber of the United States Senate is located in the north wing of the Capitol building, in Washington, D.C., the national capital. The House of Representatives convenes in the south wing of the same building.

The Senate has several exclusive powers not granted to the House, including consenting to treaties as a precondition to their ratification and consenting or confirmation of appointments of Cabinet secretaries, federal judges, other federal executive officials, military officers and other federal uniformed officers, as well as the impeachment trials of federal officials. The Senate is a more deliberative body than the House of Representatives because the Senate is smaller and its members serve longer terms.

National Rifle Association

While widely recognized today as a major political force and as America's foremost defender of Second Amendment rights, the NRA has, since its inception, been the premier firearms education organization in the world. But our successes would not be possible without the tireless efforts and countless hours of service our nearly four million members have given to champion Second Amendment rights and support NRA programs.

MISSION: Buckeye Firearms Association is a grassroots political action committee (PAC) dedicated to defending and advancing the right of Ohio citizens to own and use firearms for all legal activities, including self-defense, hunting, competition, and recreation. We work to elect pro-gun candidates and lobby for pro-gun legislation.

The Second Amendment Foundation Mission Statement The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is dedicated to promoting a better understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms. To that end, we carry on many educational and legal action programs designed to better inform the public about the gun control debate.

Tenth Amendment Rights State’s Rights - Sovereignty

[pic] The Tenth Amendment

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

1.  The People created the federal government to be their agent for certain enumerated purposes only.  The Constitutional ratifying structure was created so it would be clear that it was the People, and not the States, that were doing the ratifying.

2.  The Tenth Amendment defines the total scope of federal power as being that which has been delegated by the people to the federal government, and also that which is absolutely necessary to advancing those powers specifically enumerated in the Constitution of the United States.  The rest is to be handled by the state governments, or locally, by the people themselves.

Ohio's State Motto - With God All Things Are Possible

During the early 1950s, the Ohio legislature sponsored a contest for selecting a state motto. "With God All Things Are Possible" became Ohio's state motto on October 1, 1959. James Mastronardo, a twelve-year-old boy recommended this quotation from the Bible.

In 1997, the American Civil Liberties Union filed a suit against Ohio and its state motto, claiming that this phrase from the Bible violated the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, which guarantees religious freedom and a separation of church and state. Various federal courts sided with Ohio, allowing the state to retain the motto. Judges ruled that Ohio's motto does not endorse a specific God and, thus, was not a violation of the First Amendment. Ohio is one of five states with the word "God" in their mottos.

A Brief History of Ohio's State Government

The story of Ohio's statehood dates back to the Ordinance of 1787 and the creation of the Northwest Territory--a large body of unsettled land that encompassed what is now Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and part of Minnesota.

The territory was ruled by a governor, a secretary, and three judges, who were all appointed by Congress. These five officials performed the executive, legislative and judicial functions of government. It wasn't until 1798--after the male adult population of the territory reached 5,000--that the settlers were given the right to elect a house of representatives. The first meeting of the legislature convened in Cincinnati in 1799. The body elected Edward Tiffin as Speaker of the House and William Henry Harrison as the territory's representative to Congress.

Though the territorial government was just getting on its feet in 1799, Ohio settlers were already clamoring for statehood. And just a few years later, in 1802, Congress passed an enabling bill that authorized the formation of a state government in Ohio. Ohio's first constitutional convention convened in Chillicothe in November of that same year. Ohio was admitted to the Union in 1803.

Chillicothe served as the temporary capital for the new state until 1810 when the legislature moved the capital to Zanesville. The capital was shuttled back to Chillicothe in 1812, while the legislature searched for a more centralized location. The legislature finally decided to build a new capital on "the high banks of the Scioto River." Columbus became Ohio's permanent capital in 1816.

Ohio is located in the Midwest and was the first state created out of the Northwest Territory, which originally included all of modern-day Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and parts of Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. The word "Ohio" comes from the Iroquois Indian term "O-Y-O," which means "the great river." Chillicothe was Ohio's original capital, but in 1812, the General Assembly selected the city of Columbus to be the seat of government.

Ohio's State Flag (1901)

Architect John Eisenmann designed the Ohio state flag in 1901. Ohio was participating in the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York, and desired a flag to fly over the Ohio Building at the fair. The state legislature officially adopted the flag on May 9, 1902. The shape of the flag is known as a burgee.

Eisenmann described the flag's symbolism thusly:

The triangles formed by the main lines of the flag represent the hills and valleys as typified in the State Seal, and the stripes the roads and waterways. The stars, indicating the thirteen original states of the Union, are grouped about the circle which represents the Northwest Territory; and that Ohio was the seventeenth state admitted into the Union is shown by adding four more stars. The white circle with its red center, not only represents the initial letter of Ohio, but is suggestive of its being the Buckeye State.

The State of Ohio celebrates Ohio statehood on March 1. The reason for this is because the Ohio General Assembly met for the first time on this day in 1803. In reality, Ohio became a state on February 19, 1803, when President Jefferson endorsed the United States Congress's decision to grant Ohio statehood. Ohio was the 17th state admitted into the Union.

Signing the Mayflower Compact by Edward Percy Moran

Mayflower Compact – What is it?

The Mayflower Compact is a written agreement composed by a consensus of the new Settlers arriving at New Plymouth in November of 1620. They had traveled across the ocean on the ship Mayflower which was anchored in what is now Provincetown Harbor near Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Mayflower Compact was drawn up with fair and equal laws, for the general good of the settlement and with the will of the majority. The Mayflower’s passengers knew that the New World’s earlier settlers failed due to a lack of government. They hashed out the content and eventually composed the Compact for the sake of their own survival.

All 41 of the adult male members on the Mayflower signed the Compact. Being the first written laws for the new land, the Compact determined authority within the settlement and was the observed as such until 1691. This established that the colony (mostly persecuted Separatists), was to be free of English law. It was devised to set up a government from within themselves and was written by those to be governed.

Mayflower Compact – What did it say?

The original document is said to have been lost, but the writings of William Bradford’s journal Of Plymouth Plantation and in Edward Winslow’s Mourt’s Relation: A Journal of the Pilgrims at Plymouth are in agreement and accepted as accurate. The Mayflower Compact reads:

"In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord, King James, by the Grace of God, of England, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, e&. Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith, and the Honour of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia; do by these presents, solemnly and mutually in the Presence of God and one of another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation, and Furtherance of the Ends aforesaid; And by Virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions and Offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the General good of the Colony; unto which we promise all due submission and obedience. In Witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod the eleventh of November, in the Reign of our Sovereign Lord, King James of England, France and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth. Anno Domini, 1620."

Mayflower Compact – Who signed it and why?

One of the first lists of the Mayflower Compact’s signers was provided by William Bradford’s nephew, Nathaniel Morton. The names are published in his 1669 New England’s Memorial. They are also posted by the Avalon Project of Yale University. Some of the more familiar names includes are those such as: John Carver, William Bradford, Edward Winslow, William Brewster, Isaac Allerton, Myles Standish, and John Alden.

When creating the Mayflower Compact, the signers believed that covenants were not only to be honored between God and man, but also between each other. They had always honored covenants as part of their righteous integrity and agreed to be bound by this same principle with the Compact. John Adams and many historians have referred to the Mayflower Compact as the foundation of the U.S. Constitution written more than 150 later.

America was indeed begun by men who honored God and set their founding principles by the words of the Bible. They lived their lives with honesty, reliability, and fairness toward establishing this country “for the sake of its survival.” A great many of America’s Founding Fathers have been quoted in regard to living by Biblical values.

Edmund Burke (1729-1794), outstanding orator, author, and leader in Great Britain, defended the colonies in Parliament. "There is but one law for all, namely, that law which governs all law, the law of our Creator."

Patrick Henry (1736-1799), five-time Governor of Virginia, whose "Give me liberty or give me death" speech has made him immortal, said: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly, nor too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. . . ."

Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), third U.S. President, chosen to write the Declaration of Independence, said: "I have little doubt that the whole country will soon be rallied to the unity of our Creator, and, I hope, to the pure doctrines of Jesus also." He proclaimed that it was the God of the Bible who founded America in his 1805 inaugural address: "I shall need, too, the favor of that Being in whose hands we are, who led our forefathers, as Israel of old, from their native land and planted them in this country."

Richard Stockton

Signer of the Declaration of Independence

I think it proper here not only to subscribe to the entire belief of the great and leading doctrines of the Christian religion, such as the Being of God, the universal defection and depravity of human nature, the divinity of the person and the completeness of the redemption purchased by the blessed Savior, the necessity of the operations of the Divine Spirit, of Divine Faith, accompanied with an habitual virtuous life, and the universality of the divine Providence, but also . . . that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom; that the way of life held up in the Christian system is calculated for the most complete happiness that can be enjoyed in this mortal state; that all occasions of vice and immorality is injurious either immediately or consequentially, even in this life; that as Almighty God hath not been pleased in the Holy Scriptures to prescribe any precise mode in which He is to be publicly worshiped, all contention about it generally arises from want of knowledge or want of virtue.

Continental Congress

Whereas true religion and good morals are the only solid foundations of public liberty and happiness: Resolved, That it be, and it is hereby earnestly recommended to the several states, to take the most effectual measures for the encouragement thereof, and for the suppressing theatrical entertainments, horse racing, gaming, and such other diversions as are productive of idleness, dissipation, and a general depravity of principles and manners.

I have always, so far as it was in my power, endeavored to discourage gaming in the camp; and always shall so long as I have the honor to preside there.

The Writings of George Washington from the Original Manuscript Sources, 1745-1756 (Washington, DC: United States Government Printing Office, 1931), Vol. 1, p. 297, in a letter to Robert Dinwiddie, February 2, 1756.

All officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers are positively forbid playing at cards, and other games of chance. At this time of public distress, men may find enough to do in the service of their God, and their Country, without abandoning themselves to vice and immorality.

The Writings of George Washington from the Original Manuscript Sources, 1745-1799 (Washington, DC: United States Government Printing Office, 1931), Vol. 4, p. 347. These were Washington's General Orders for his army issued on February 26, 1776.

As few vices are attended with more pernicious consequences, in civil life; so there are none more fatal in a military one, than that of GAMING; which often brings disgrace and ruin upon officers, and injury and punishment upon the soldiery: And reports prevailing, which, it is to be feared are too well founded, that this destructive vice has spread its baneful influence in the army, and, in a peculiar manner, to the prejudice of the recruiting Service,-The Commander in Chief, in the most pointed and explicit terms, forbids ALL officers and soldiers, playing at cards, dice or at any games, except those of EXERCISE, for diversion; it being impossible, if the practice be allowed, at all, to discriminate between innocent play, for amusement, and criminal gaming, for pecuniary and sordid purposes. . . . The commanding officer of every corps is strictly enjoined to have this order frequently read, and strongly impressed upon the minds those under his command. Any officer, or soldier, or other person belonging to, or following, the army . . . presuming, under any pretence, to disobey this order, shall be tried by a General Court Martial.

The Writings of George Washington from the Original Manuscript Sources, 1745-1799 (Washington, DC: United States Government Printing Office, 1933), Vol. 8, pp. 28-29. These were Washington's General Orders for his army issued on May 8, 1777.

The last thing I shall mention, is first of importance and that is, to avoid gaming. This is a vice which is productive of every possible evil, equally injurious to the morals and health of its votaries. It is the child of avarice, the brother of inequity, and father of mischief. It has been the ruin of many worthy families; the loss of many a man's honor; and the cause of suicide. To all those who enter the list, it is equally fascinating; the successful gamester pushes his good fortune till it is overtaken by a reverse; the losing gamester, in hopes of retrieving past misfortunes, goes on from bad to worse; till grown desperate, he pushes at everything; and loses his all. In a word, few gain by this abominable practice (the profit, if any, being diffused) while thousands are injured.

The Writings of George Washington from the Original Manuscript Sources, 1745-1799 (Washington, DC: United States Government Printing Office, 1938), Vol. 26, p. 40, in a letter to his nephew on January 15, 1783.

Laws of Connecticut

Gaming is an amusement, the propensity of which is deeply implanted in human nature. Mankind in the most unpolished state of barbarism and in the most refined periods of luxury and dissipation, are attached to this practice with an unaccountable ardor and fondness. To describe the pernicious consequences of it, the ruin and desolation of private families, and the promotion of idleness and dissipation, belong to a treatise on ethics.

Zephaniah Swift, A System of Laws of the State of Connecticut (Windham, CT: John Byrne, 1796), Vol. II, p. 351.

James Iredell

But there are two very dangerous vices, against which I must particularly caution you-gaming and drinking. The incitement to the first is the hope of gain. What incitement the other had, God knows-I know not. Now, how many men have made fortunes by gaming? Or have any? And how many have been ruined by it? Millions? God forbid any friend of mine should add to the number. Between two persons of equal skill the chance is equal, and one must infallibly lose. And when we again consider the innumerable harpies to be met with in all disguises, I would point at a gaming house as a place of utter destruction.

The Papers of James Iredell (Raleigh, NC: North Carolina Division of Archives and History, 1976), Vol. I, p. 68. This is in a letter to his brother, Francis Iredell, Jr. on June 15, 1771.

Thomas Jefferson

In a world which furnishes so many employments which are useful, so many which are amusing, it is our own fault if we ever know what ennui [weariness; heaviness] is, or if we are ever driven to the miserable resources of gaming, which corrupts our dispositions, and teaches us a habit of hostility against all mankind.

S.E. Forman, The Life and Writings of Thomas Jefferson, (Indianapolis: Bowen-Merrill Company, 1900), p. 266, in a letter to Martha Jefferson, 1787.

Any person who shall bet or play for money, or other goods, or who shall bet on the hands or sides of those who play at any game in a tavern, racefield, or other place of public resort, shall be deemed an infamous gambler, and shall not be eligible to any office of trust or honor within this state. 2 Chronicles 7:14

If My people, who call themselves by My name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Proverbs 29:2

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

From a Lyman Beecher speech Lyman Beecher 1775-1863, American Presbyterian clergyman, b. New Haven, Conn., grad. Yale, 1797

The government of God is the only government which will hold society against depravity within and temptation without; and this it must do by the force of its own law written upon the heart. This is that unity of the Spirit and that bond of peace which alone can perpetuate national purity and tranquility -- that law of universal and impartial love by which alone nations can be kept back from ruin. There is no safety for republics but in self-government, under the influence of a holy heart, swayed by the government of God.

The Glorious Fourth

In a letter to his wife Abigail, John Adams told her of the actions of the Continental Congress on July 2, 1776. "The second day of July, 1776 [the actual day the Declaration was signed], will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of the continent to the other, from this time forward forever."

As we celebrate Independence Day, as John Adams so aptly predicted, we must not forget nor overlook the intense struggle our Founding Fathers faced. Their Christian faith played a critical role in an era that altered the history of the world.

There is not a better example of this seamless devotion to God and country than Samuel Adams. In his time, Sam was far more famous than his cousin, John. Sam was known as the last of the great Puritans and the father of the Revolution. It was Sam Adams who organized the Sons of Liberty and the Committees of Correspondence. (By the way, if you're going out to a Tea Party on Saturday, historians believe that the first tea party, the one in Boston, was organized by Samuel Adams. It was that Boston Tea Party that lit the fuse of the American Revolution).

When Sam Adams was elected to that First Continental Congress and traveled to the gathering of leaders in Philadelphia, he thought the Continental Congress needed to begin its work on its knees--in prayer. But when the motion was made to call in a local clergyman to lead the worship, John Jay of New York and Edward Rutledge of South Carolina objected. We are too diverse, they said. We could never agree on whose prayers to say.

Rising to his feet, Sam Adams spoke: "I am no bigot," he said, "I can hear the prayer of any man of piety and virtue who is a friend to his country." Deeply moved, the delegates voted to approve Sam Adams' idea. The next morning, amid reports of the British moving against the people of his hometown of Boston, Sam knelt in prayer with his fellow delegates, as the Rev. Jacob Duch? prayed. "Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me, and fight against them that fight against me."

That inspired move by Sam Adams did much to overcome suspicions among the delegates. Joseph Reed of Philadelphia called that prayer "a masterly stroke." Those Founding Fathers could now work together for liberty.

Soon, Sam Adams would sign the Declaration of Independence. Alongside Sam Adams' name you can find that of Charles Carroll, a delegate from Maryland. Carroll was the richest man in Congress and the only Roman Catholic. Nowhere else on earth in 1776 could you find an Evangelical like Sam Adams pledge "his life, his fortune, and his sacred honor" alongside a Catholic like Charles Carroll. They both risked death by hanging for signing that great Declaration. But they served the King of Kings and had no fear of King George III.

In our efforts to maintain the freedoms won by our forefathers we must be like them--people of action and prayer. We must never sever our personal faith from our public stand for faith, family and freedom. Reference: July 2, 2009 – Thursday, Washington Update – Family Research Council – Tony Perkins
