THIS IS ABOUT YOU!! Your newsletter must have at least 2 columns (can use more) and at least 1 page long. Each of the headings (all 6) listed below must be included in the newsletter. I HAVE LISTED TIPS FOR YOU TO USE UNDER EACH SECTION. You must also use clip art in your newsletter.

Basic Parts About Your Life – This section introduces you to the reader. You should also include any other basic information about yourself in this section.

• Your full name; when and where you were born; your grade; a physical description; who are the members in your family?

• Where have you lived?; facts about your home

• Describe yourself

• Things you do well; things you don’t do well; things you want to be able to do

• Your responsibilities at home; responsibilities you wish your parents would let you assume & why you think you are ready

People

• Who have been the most important people in your life up to now? Do not list too many people and be sure to explain why they were important. You may tell stories to show why a person was important to you.

Places

• What places have been important in your life? You may wish to describe your home or the homes that you have lived in. You may have visited some places near your home or far away. Tell why these places are important to you.

Events

• Describe those situations that had important effects upon your life. This is where you can use some of the stories that will describe why some of the things that happened were important. Choose your events very carefully and be sure that they were important your life. Describe the events in as much detail is possible. Describe your feelings at the time. (Again do not include too many events. Focus on those that were the most important or had the most influence on you.)

Things

• Select things that have interested you or have become important to you during your life. These may include hobbies, things you like to in your leisure time, objects that have special meaning for you, pets, foods, and other things you may wish to include. You may also discuss your likes and dislikes.

Who I Am Today?

• This is the final step. This is where you sum up how to see yourself now.

• Describe how you feel about the world you live in today.

• Write about what interests you.

• Write about what you would like to do in the future and how you will try to accomplish what you want to do.

• Write about your hopes and plans for the future. Be sure to include the kind of person you hope to become (the role model you want to be for others),
