world's most respected authorities on the subjects of forgery, embezzlement and secure documents. For

government agencies around the world.

Tim Berry - Treasurer, State of Indiana E-Government: Future of Government Scope Tim Berry was elected Indiana's 51st Treasurer of State on November 3, 1998, and took office on February 10, 1999. Prior to his election as Treasurer of State, Berry served as Allen County Treasurer from September 1990 to February 1999. Berry was first elected, at age 29, by a caucus of Republican precinct committeemen and was reelected by Allen County voters in 1992 and 1996. As Allen County Treasurer, Berry earned record interest income through efficient investment of tax dollars. Berry also cut the County Treasurer's office operating expenses, to achieve the lowest per capita operating budget of any of Indiana's 92 county treasurers. During his tenure, Berry also served in leadership positions with the Indiana County Treasurer's Association and Association of Indiana Counties. His peers elected Berry, County Treasurer of the Year in 1995.

Phillip C. Bantin ~ University Archivist, Indiana University Document Archiving & Electronic Filing Philip Bantin received a bachelor's degree in history from Ripon College in Wisconsin, a Masters in European History from Emory University, and a Masters in Library Science with an emphasis on Archives and Manuscript Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Bantin is presently the Director of the Indiana University Archives, a position he has held since 1993. Previously, Bantin was employed as an archivist at Marquette University, UCLA, and Boston College. Since 1995, he has directed two electronic records management projects funded jointly by Indiana University and the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC). In the last five years, Bantin has made over twenty presentations on various aspects of electronic records management to a variety of professional organizations. Bantin has published articles on electronic records management in numerous publications devoted to records and information management, including the journals of the two most prominent archival organizations in the United States, the Society of American Archivists and the Midwest Archives Conference.

Mark Krawczyk ~ Assistant Treasurer, University of Michigan Mark has twenty-five years of management experience in banking, corporate finance, treasury operations and human resources. He accepted the position of Assistant Treasurer with the University of Michigan in the fall of 2000. In this position he has responsibility for all university banking relationships, cash forecasting, foreign exchange and working capital management. Prior to accepting his current position, he had his own consulting/training company, CZYK & Associates, for the last seven years. Mark still provides services via CZYK & Associates to a select few clients. Through numerous writings, lectures, seminars and speaking engagements, Mark brings a unique, insightful and many times humorous perspective to contemporary issues facing corporate America. Mark specializes in the individual, personal impact of corporate restructuring, business process improvement, treasury management practices and the management of the "human asset" in today's business environment. Mark is a CCM (Certified Cash Manager); has twice served on the Board of Directors of AFP (Association for Financial Professionals) and also is an Associate Editor for the writing of the The Essentials of Cash Management, 7th Edition. Mark received both his undergraduate degree and MBA from Oklahoma State University

Mike Nordbush, Vice President, National City Bank e-Treasury, Transactions, & Security Concerns; Where is it Going? Mike is a Vice President in the Corporate Banking Solutions group in Cleveland, Ohio and has responsibility for National City's exact4web and data transmission platforms. Mike joined National City in 1989 and spent several years in Treasury Management, Correspondent Banking and Product Management positions prior to joining Corporate Banking Solutions in 1998. He has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University.

Technology Friday

TMAI has reserved two computer labs conveniently located on the IUPUI campus and at Methodist Hospital, both in downtown Indianapolis. This year the courses offered will be: Excel? - Cash Management Automation and Powerpoint: Advanced Presentations & Design. A map to the workshops will be provided in your conference handout materials.

"Microsoft? Excel? ~ Cash Management Automation" This session is for the treasury professional who uses Excel? to manage the daily tasks of a cash desk and wants ideas on how to improve efficiencies and automate routine tasks. Addie Gill, CCM, Cash Desk Manager at Anthem and former Excel? trainer will be the presenter. Addie's first assignment when hired into the Anthem Treasury department five years ago was to automate the cash desk. She will share the tips and tricks she has picked up along the way to help you to harness the power of your spreadsheets so that they work for you and not the other way around. Space will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Be sure to indicate that you will be attending this workshop when you complete your registration.

"Microsoft PowerPoint ~ Advanced Presentation & Design" Do you fear public speaking? ? Do you want to be a better presenter, trainer, sales person, manager, educator or designer? ? Need to create a PowerPoint presentation and you want a few tips and tricks? This workshop will help you with the art of communicating effectively with PowerPoint. We present tips on all aspects of public speaking, formal, informal presentations and meetings; overcoming fear, effective techniques, using annecdotes, spellbinding speeches, and using multimedia for impact. Also we include tips on using PowerPoint to produce effective handouts. This session is for medium to advanced users who are already familiar with windows and the basics of PowerPoint.

Hotel Accomodations

The 12th Annual Circle City Treasury Management Conference is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Downtown - Union Station in the heart of Indianapolis. This unique and elegant hotel is located at 123 West Louisiana Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46206-2186, adjacent to the restored Union Station.

A special conference rate of $113.00 single/double (plus tax) is available for conference attendees; in addition, VERY SPECIAL arrangements have been made to have a limited number of Pullman Sleeping Car rooms. These restored vintage train cars from the 1930's and 40's have been converted to hotel rooms and are available to our attendees at a rate of $149.00 single/double (plus tax). For a fee of $8.00 per night, the Crowne Plaza provides parking in an adjacent underground garage for guests of the hotel.
