Prospect Mortgage Graphic Standards has been developed to establish and ensure consistency in branding our company name and corporate identity. By maintaining standardization in style, layout and overall presentation, we communicate to everyone our image and product which is to deliver excellent customer service and cement strong relationships with our clients. This first edition of our graphic standards manual covers basic guidelines and layout designs when using the Prospect Mortgage corporate identity. LOGO VERSIONS

THE PROSPECT MORTGAGE LOGO

The Prospect Mortgage logo consists of three parts: The rounded square insignia with four swoops within the icon, the main text of the company name, and the tagline. The insignia design is geared to meeting the objective of showing a breakthrough and perseverance in going forward in all directions, maintaining the company's strenghs, uniformity and expansion nationwide. It represents the symbolism of movement, speed and direction.

Though we would prefer to use the logo in Diagram A, for certain promotional items and signs, you can typeset the logo as show in Diagrams B, C or D, in that order of preference. If the letters in the word `Mortgage' needs to be enlarged, that would be fine as a last resort (see Diagram E).

Besides color variations (as discussed on page 4 of this manual), only these versions of the Prospect Mortgage logo are authorized for use. No other variations are acceptable unless approved by Prospect Marketing Department senior management.

LOGO COLORS

CORPORATE COLORS

The Prospect Mortgage logo insignia color uses the Pantone Matching System? for consistency. The insignia, the word `Prospect' and the line are Pantone? 294. The word `Mortgage' is 50% black. For printing purposes, PMS? 294 can be converted into their process colors using the CMYK color scheme. For viewing on the computer monitor or for other software programs, the RGB equivalent can be used. The only other acceptable color when PMS? 294 is unavailable is PMS? Reflex Blue. Whether to use the coated or uncoated versions of the PMS? colors should be based on paper stock type or vendor recommendation.

Other Solid Colors The only other colors acceptable for the entire logo is silver and black. Silver should only be used for special occasions and events, such as our internal Circle of Excellence and Excellence in Operations invitations and other marketing materials.

Reversed Logo Our logo can be entirely white while sitting on a solid background, also known as reversed. Acceptable background colors are PMS? 294 (or its equivalent), silver and black.

These are the only variations in color that should be used. Any execeptions should be authorized and approved by Prospect Marketing Department senior management.

TYPE FACES

CORPORATE FONTS

The type faces used for Prospect Mortgage consists of fonts that reflects a strong, nationally based and friendly organization. With various treatments of capitalizations and small caps and the use of italics, a corporate yet contemporary feel is portrayed. The weight of the fonts adds to Prospect' stability and the ease in readership carries the intended "friendliness." They also indicate movement, action and going forward.

Type Faces The fonts used for the logo and company marketing materials are listed on the right. The main font for all Prospect Mortgage marketing pieces is Myriad Pro. For all other of our Joint Ventures, the other listed fonts can be used. There is a measure of flexibility as far as deciding to use italized, bold, or shadowing effects to the fonts. For flyers, brochures, ads and other marketing pieces, the following rule of thumb should be followed:

LOGO PLACEMENTS

PLACING THE LOGO

In order to obtain the best possible image of Prospect Mortgage, the logo should be placed in an area on a marketing piece that is located along the top or bottom portion of the page. This becomes especially important when typesetting along with personalized information. Sometimes the logo would be used in the postcard return address.

When Standing Alone Depending on the piece, the logo is usually standing alone either left, right or center justified in relation to the header or personalization. Usually, the logo will be located near the bottom of the marketing piece.

When Used on Joint Marketing Pieces When typesetting for more than one individual, such as a shared marketing piece, the logo placement can vary depending on the room available, amount of personalization information and whether their are headshot photos included.

These examples are standard placements, and any execeptions should be authorized and approved by Prospect Marketing Department senior management.

LOGO DO'S & DON'TS

SHAPE/ICONS & LOGOS

The Prospect Mortgage logo needs to stay proportionate in its dimensions and should not contain any other taglines, icons or logos. Drop shadows are allowed depending on the design of the marketing piece.

Shape The logo should not be stretched, distorted or altered in its orientation in any way. Contrain the logo proportionately when enlarging or shrinking.

Taglines Presently, there are no tagline that should be part of the logo. No other tagline or snipe should be placed as part of the logo except for the address of the Prospect Mortgage Loan Center.

OTHER ICONS AND LOGOS No other logos can be used as part of the Prospect Mortgage logo except for a few alliance and internal usages. The icon can be used along with headers or as bullets. The Prospect icon of the house roof can be made as Pantone 294 or shades thereof for use along with a header or as a background.
