Thrust Flight 2019 #MorePilots Scholarship Rules, Terms and Conditions

Thrust Flight invites US Citizens and permanent residents to submit applications for the Thrust Flight 2019 #MorePilots scholarship. Applications must be submitted before 5:00 pm central time on September 13, 2019.

To apply, candidates must submit a video presenting why the applicant wants to be a commercial airline pilot. Videos must at least 45 seconds in length, but no longer than 90 seconds.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Must be a US citizen or permanent resident. Groups cannot apply. While candidates may work in groups to create a video, only one

person may be listed on the Video Application Form and Agreement and only this person can be awarded the scholarship for their sole use. Each applicant may submit only one video. Videos may not have been previously submitted or entered in any other applications, contests or competitions. Video must be between 45 and 90 seconds long. The recommended video quality is 1920p by 1080p. Video must be original work created by the applicant. All video and music content must be original and royalty free or the applicant must submit written permission from the copyright holder granting use of the copyrighted material. No obligation or liability is assumed by Thrust Flight in connection with the video competition. All submitted videos are owned by Thrust Flight. Awardees agree to the use of the recipients' name, likenesses and video production for any purpose. See Video Scholarship Application Form and Agreement for further details. Neither employees and contractors of Thrust Flight, nor their immediate family members, are eligible to apply.

Entries will be evaluated based on: Ability to gain the viewer's attention and make a lasting impression. Quality including characteristics such as accuracy, creativity, persuasiveness, clarity, and overall visual and audio presentation quality. How well it conveys the applicant's passion for pursuing a career as a commercial airline pilot. Thrust Flight will be the sole judge and evaluator of applications. All decisions of Thrust Flight are final.

Scholarship Award: There will be one winner of a $5,000 scholarship valid towards pursuit of an advanced certificate or rating at Thrust Flight's Addison, Texas campus. The scholarship is non-transferrable and must be used by October 30, 2020. The winner will be announced on October 30, 2019.

SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO Late Entries will not be accepted. Fill out the web form at scholarship in its entirety. Link to video must be to YouTube, Vimeo or Facebook only. Any videos hosted on other sites may not be considered.

Application Consent:

I am voluntarily applying for the Thrust Flight 2019 #MorePilots Scholarship. I warrant and represent that I have complied with the Official Rules, Terms and Conditions. I understand the Video must be submitted to Thrust Flight by the due date.

I agree that the Video will not be returned and is the property of Thrust Flight. The copyright and all other rights, title, and interest in the Video shall be owned by Thrust Flight.

I agree that Thrust Flight and any successors, licensees, and assignees thereto shall have the non-exclusive and perpetual right, but not the obligation, to use my name, photograph, voice, likeness, and similar characteristics for advertising, publicity, promoting, selling, and other related purposes in connection with Thrust Flight both during and after the competition. By submitting a video, I confirm that I have obtained the consent of those whose faces are visible or voices are audible in the Video for Thrust Flight to use.

I agree to cooperate with Thrust Flight by providing appropriate photographs and biographical information, if and as reasonably requested.

I agree that Thrust Flight is not liable for any injuries, damages, claims, demands, actions or causes of action whatsoever that may arise out of or relate in any way to my participation, submission, winning, acceptance, or use of any award, or the competition ("Liabilities"), and I agree to forever release, discharge, indemnify, hold harmless and defend Thrust Flight from any such Liabilities.
