The text inside the box will revert back to the default placeholder text.Manage Groups and ContactsCreate a groupFrom the main window, in your contacts view, click on a contact’s name or enter a person’s name in the search bar.Right-click on the name and select Add to Contact List.Select Add to New Group.Right-click on the name New Group.Select Rename Group.Type a group name then press Enter.Find someoneType the person’s name or email address in the search bar at the top of the window.Add someone to my contact list/groupIn the search bar type the person’s name or email address.Once the name is displayed, place your cursor over the name, right click and select Add to Favorites or Add to Contact List.View detailed information for a contactRight-click on the contact name Select “See Contact Card”Set an alert to notify me as soon as a particular contact becomes availableIn your Contacts view, right-click the contact you want to reach, and then select Tag for Status Change Alerts.When that status changes for that individual an alert will display.If you no longer want to receive alerts, go back to step 1 to remove the tag.Send and Receive Instant MessagesSend an instant message to one personSelect a person’s name from the search box or your contact list.Double click on the person’s name OR hover over their picture and click the message icon.Type your message at the bottom of the conversation window.Press Enter on your keyboard to send the message.Optional: Add others to the conversation by dragging their name from your Contacts list into the conversation window.Send an instant message to more than one personOpen and logon to Skype. In your Contact list, hold down the?Ctrl key and click each Contact you want to invite. Right-click the selection, then click Send an IM. Type your message then press the Enter key. You can also send an email or a meeting request by performing the steps above.Receive an instant messageWhen someone sends you an instant message, an instant message alert appears in the lower right-hand corner of your computer screen.To accept (read) the message, click on the Alert. To delay reading the message, click on Ignore. The contact will not receive an indication that you have declined the message, but will not get a response.Manage Meetings and PresentationsShare my desktop or programTo share in an instant-messaging conversation, open Skype and double-click a contact that you want to share with. To add contacts, in the Conversation window, click the People Options menu, click Invite by Name or Phone Number, and select contacts to add.At the bottom of the conversation window, point to the presentation (monitor) icon.To share the content on your desktop, click Desktop. Important:? When sharing your desktop, everyone in the meeting can see your programs, files, and notifications. If you have confidential information or files that you don’t want people to see, close them or use program sharing instead.To share one or more programs or files, click Program, and then select the specific program(s) or file(s).On the sharing toolbar, on top of the screen, use any of these options:Click Stop Presenting when you are done sharing your screen.Click Give Control to share control of your desktop or program with the participants. Click the blue pin to hide the toolbar and have more space. To un-hide the toolbar, move your mouse to the top of the screen. When the sharing toolbar appears, use any of the controls you need or click the pin again to keep the toolbar visible.Set up a skype meeting in outlookYou can use Outlook to schedule a Skype meeting the same way you schedule meetings normally, but with one or two extra clicks. Open Outlook, and go to your calendar. On the?Home?tab ribbon, in the?Skype Meeting?section, click?New Skype Meeting.? Or click on New Items drop down and select Skype Meeting. Set up the meeting as you typically would: In the?"To…"?box, type the email address of each person you’re inviting, separated by semicolons. In the?Subject?box, type a name for the meeting. Select a start time and end time. If you’ll have in-person attendees, either click?Room Finder, in the Options section of the Meeting tab, and then find a room or, in the?Location?box, type a meeting location, such as a conference room. To look for a time that works for everyone, click?Scheduling Assistant, in the Show section of the Meeting tab ribbon. In the meeting area, type an agenda. Be careful not to change any of the Skype meeting information. (Optional) Preload your meeting attachments. That way, when participants join the meeting, everything is ready to go. See Preload attachments for a Skype for Business meeting. Double-check the information and click?Send.Set up a Skype meeting in Outlook Web App (OWA)To create a Skype for Business Meeting request in Outlook Web App, you have to:In the Office 365 portal, click the app launcher, then click Calendar to open the Calendar app. Click the plus sign or "New" just below the app launcher, and fill in the meeting information as usual. On the Details screen If you’ll have in-person attendees, in?Location, type a location for the meeting, such as a conference room, or click?Add Room?for help finding a conference room. To add a Skype meeting, click on add Skype meeting. To set a time for a time that works for everyone, click?Scheduling Assistant. Select the date, time for the meeting and add attendees. Then click OKThe Call-in details, like a?Join online meeting?link appear in the message area. For audio, add the conference call number and access code. (Optional) In the meeting area, you can type an agenda or other information about the meeting. Be careful not to change any of the “Join online meeting” information. (Optional) To add an attachment with the agenda, at the top of the meeting window, click “Attach” and select the file and ok.
