Our summer holidays are here again Ma'am told us all, as we jumped up and down We squealed with delight and looked at her face As she gathered us all in a warm embrace

May this holiday be a blessing sweetheart Never let that smile from your face depart May your days be filled with love and cheer While you fill others' lives with joys so dear Take mamma and papa for a trip out of town Keep flashing that sun shine smile not a frown Gather loads of jewels for your little crown Be it yellow, purple, red, blue or brown

Take grandma and grandpa for a nature walk Hold them close to your heart while they talk Tell grandma to make you her magical dish And please do tell grandpa your secret wish Go to bed early with a dream in your heart And wake up to greet the bright sun sweetheart Tell mamma to make yummy, cool and healthy food While you enjoy this vacation in a happy mood

Ma'am told all these as we laughed and sang Hip! Hip! Hurray with a joyful bang She lovingly gathered us all in her arms And made all of us feel so special and warm

Happy holidays with our little darlings!!!!

We are going to miss our little bundles of energy and will be waiting to have them back filled with joy, health and energy. We have prepared some holiday activity sheets for our children to keep them busy throughout the summer vacation. Please allow them to do things the way they enjoy best. Please do not force your child to do the work and do not make the child do more than two pages at a stretch. Allow the child to observe, explore and find his/her own solutions so that they enjoy doing their work. The Millennium philosophy of "life long learners" can only become a reality if learning comes from within, so let's together make this happen to our little ones and fill their wonder years with golden moments. Let every moment of this vacation be a time to unite, connect and enjoy beautiful moments with your child.

Activities for enjoyment

`Work and Play are Equally Important'. Computer games are good. They sharpen your intellect, but what about the rest of your body? You do need some exercise, don't you? Go cycling, play badminton, cricket, kho-kho, hide n' seek ...... anything that makes you run.

Learn a new hobby? swimming, roller skating, cricket, karate, golf summer camp etc.

Go for walks with your family. You will realize you have two of the greatest gifts of life....NATURE and your FAMILY.

`Care and Concern' this is your chance to look after your parents, grandparents, elders and even your younger brothers and sisters. You can surely be of some help to your family members. Ask your family members if they need some help and then do the needful.

Visit new places along with your family and make a collage, using photographs on your return and show them to the class teacher, e.g., local historical sites can be visited.

Read the newspaper daily. Read at least two books of your interest during the vacation. Maintain a self-

made dictionary of the new words you come across while reading.

Guidelines

The holiday assignment should be done as per the instructions. Manage your time in such a way that a little work is done every day and

there is no piling up for the last moment. Keep a fixed time for doing your work every day. Do the work neatly as per the given instruction. Collect the materials required for the work in advance. Enjoy the activities so that the work becomes fun. Creativity and originality of the work will be appreciated. Your parents are requested to encourage you to do the homework independently. It should be submitted on or before 6th July 2018. Compile and put your holiday homework in an attractive folder.
