The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), reports to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational performance of HFC Bank and the achievements of the Bank's Growth and Profitability agenda. The CEO's responsibility also extends to the effective management of the enterprise in fulfilment of the declared objectives and within the framework of the policy laid down by the HFC Bank Board. This is an executive responsibility which is summarized in the following major items: The Chief Executive Officer ensures the implementation and achievement of HFC Bank's current and future strategic direction set by the Board, and ensures delivery of strategic and operational key performance results, and outcomes, across the organization.

The Chief Executive Officer provides the mandate and leadership for the Executive Team to work in partnership across their operational groups, to lead and implement continuous improvements in business processes, leveraging digital transformation, and ensuring delivery of customer centric services. The CEO is accountable for developing new business opportunities and sustaining valuable relationships with private and public sector stakeholders to ensure the bank's continuous expansion and business growth.

The CEO position requires the right skills and mindset to assess and mitigate principal risks and compliance of the Bank's business, together with its growth and profitability and ensures that appropriate management and technological systems are in place for delivering the expected services and performance standards.

Executive Leadership Team and People Management

Ensure that the Executive Leadership Team consistently demonstrate a collective focus on achievement of HFC Bank in becoming Fiji's Bank of Choice in providing Innovative Financial Solutions and Beyond

Carrying out effectively the policy laid down by the Board of Directors, and ensuring that the policy is well understood and complied with by all members of the organization

Ensuring that executives including the CEO (Responsible Persons of the Bank) have a good understanding of the Bank's policies, RBF's Banking Supervision Polices and of its main implications (except in respect of matters which are regarded by the Board as confidential to top management).

Ensures that the regulatory framework, policies and circulars are compliant with where appropriate, and as CEO, is well versed with the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) Banking Supervisor Policy No's 15 and 10 and others

Acts as a final decision-maker as per the Board's Delegation of Authority and Discretions in various operations aspects and ensures all operations are conducted in full compliance with laws, regulations and HFC Bank's Code of Conduct;

Ensuring that Human Resources Management (HRM) of HFC Bank is effectively managed in terms of selection and recruitment, incentives and motivation, disciplines in line with Human Resource strategy of the Company;

Appoint, with approval from the Board where necessary, executives who report to the CEO in line with expansion;
