Ritter Pharmaceuticals, Inc. develops novel therapeutic products that modulate the human gut microbiome to treat gastrointestinal diseases.

Ritter Pharma is advancing human gut health research by exploring the metabolic capacity of gut microbiota and translating the functionality of microbiome modulators into safe and effective applications. The company's lead drug candidate, RP-G28, has the potential to become the first FDA-approved drug for lactose intolerance, a condition that affects more than one billion people worldwide.

The Position

The Vice-President of Finance / Controller is responsible for the overall management of financial and accounting matters of the company, including: external and internal management of all financial matters, oversight and creation of policies and procedures, daily accounting department activities, including oversight of monthly financial close, quality maintenance and coordination of external audit relationship. The position also entails involvement with outside investors and investment analysts ranging from formal communication of financial position of the company to answering questions commonly posed by current or prospective investors and analysts.

Responsibilities

? Preparation of US GAAP consolidated financial statements: Perform technical accounting, provide guidance and perform research related to GAAP and any requirements associated with SEC regulations related to financial statements.

? Establish, monitor, and enforce, policies and procedures necessary for mitigating risk, enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with GAAP including establishing formal policy and procedures for financial activities.

? Establish appropriate SOX compliance program ? Interface with members of the board of directors, audit committee of the

board and senior management as well external auditors ? Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to

payment ? Manage audits and reviews with the Company's external auditors as well

as the timely and accurate filing of the Company's financial reports on Form 10-K and 10-Q as well as other SEC regulated filings. ? Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms ? Process check requests

? Respond to all vendor inquiries ? 1099 maintenance ? Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies ? Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in

accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices ? Budgeting and forecasting ? Investor Relations

Requirements

? CPA and/or MBA preferred ? Public accounting experience. Experience working with various SEC

filings ? +3 years in industry (pharmaceutical / biotech) experience preferred ? +4 years public company experience ? Must be well organized and a self-starter ? Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable ? Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge,

documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills ? Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures ? Ability to interact with employees, management, board of directors, investors and vendors in a professional manner ? Excellent communication skills
