POSITION SUMMARY:

As a member of the senior management team, the Vice President of Marketing implements strategies related to the sale of individual concert tickets and packages across multiple product lines; employs direct response marketing strategies and best practices; analyzes and communicates results of campaigns; develops strategic plans for assigned earned revenue programs; directly manages staff of four marketing employees as well as oversight of the patron services team; possesses excellent writing skill and exhibits proven experience with best practices in branding; develops and manages the marketing budget.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Identify opportunities and implement marketing strategies to improve and increase ticket sales, achieve efficiency and maximize program profitability.

? Plan and purchase all advertising including direct mail, print, radio, and digital. ? Conduct analyses of campaigns to gauge effectiveness and benchmarking evaluations against peer

institutions/programs to ensure the application of industry best practices and technologies. ? Partner with the Artistic and Operations departments on Classical, Pops, and Symphony on the Prairie

season planning, in addition to development of special events and presentations. ? Collaborate with art team on design and messaging of all print and electronic materials including

advertisements, direct mail brochures, postcards, indoor/outdoor signage, flyers, posters, and emails. ? Ensure that all marketing collateral and messaging are of the highest quality; maintain consistent messaging

and branding across all channels. ? Analyze and report ongoing performance of assigned marketing programs, channels, and campaigns and

make appropriate programmatic adjustments. ? Develop and manage the marketing budget and track expenditures. ? Identify and manage the implementation of operational improvements with internal departments and

external partners. ? Communicate marketing plans and results to other departments. ? Lead and manage cross-departmental product teams as assigned. ? Lead and manage a marketing staff of four people. ? Provide oversight of the patron services team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

? Four-year degree in marketing or a related field preferred. ? 5-7 years of relevant professional work experience in marketing preferred. ? Excellent writing skills and editing skills are required. ? Exceptional leadership skills required. ? General knowledge of Classical music is preferred. ? Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. ? Comprehensive knowledge of all social media outlets. ? Possesses the following traits: strong communication and presentation skills, initiative, independence,

confidence, enthusiasm, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS: Internal: External:

Frequent contact with all levels of staff and musicians. Contact with patrons, donors, board members, volunteers, community organizations, and vendors.

CONTENT OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION: Will have access to confidential programming and marketing plans, organizational financial information, staff and musician biographical information.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time to conduct daily business operations. Position also requires the hearing and visual acuity to converse with internal and external constituents in person, over the phone, and via electronic communication with or without reasonable accommodation.

SPAN OF SUPERVISION: Provides guidance to Director of Marketing & Sales, Senior Graphic Designer, Graphic Designer, Audience Development Manager, Patron Services Manager and full-time and part-time Customer Care Representatives.

SUPERVISION: Reports to the Chief Executive Officer but must have the ability to work independently and make sound decisions with a high level of autonomy.
