Dear Friends:

With G-d's help and your support, we have become a major force and catalyst for Jewish education and identity for the Main Line Jewish community. Everyday thousands of our fellow Jews drive by the Chabad Center for Jewish Life at the old General Wayne Inn and beam with a sense of Jewish pride.

Before us is an opportunity to channel that spiritual feeling into a tangible reality. Through the benevolence of Menachem Zev and Cindy Henzel, we can all participate in the mitzvah of writing a Torah Scroll, in Hebrew known as a Sefer Torah. This is the safest investment we can make in not only the future of our people, but the present!

Please join this distinguished Torah Club, by dedicating verses in this special Community Sefer Torah. The new Torah will be paraded and welcomed to its new home at Chabad the evening of June 25th ? Save the Date.

Sefer Torah

In today's troubled times, the peace and security of the Jewish people and all mankind depend on unity. When our Father in Heaven sees His children acting in harmony, He extends them His blessing and protection, which is all too necessary now in the United States, Israel, and around the world.

The very last mitzvah in the Torah is to write a Torah Scroll. By endowing a letter, word, or sentence for yourself, your children, family members or friends, it is as if you have written your own Torah Scroll, and it brings you together with Jews from every background and lifestyle in a concrete and practical expression of unity.

G-D HID THE LIGHT OF CREATION IN THE TORAH Our Sages have taught that each and every Jew has a letter in the Torah, which corresponds to his or her soul and spiritual identity. Just as each and every letter is an essential part of the Torah, so too, each and every Jew is of utmost importance and constitutes an essential and eternal part of the Jewish people. Sponsors will be featured on a special Donor's Wall.

In a very special way your participation signifies that you are one with the Jewish people, one with tradition ? one with destiny. It is a mitzvah that brings G-d's blessing and fulfillment of His promise of protection to your children, your family and your home.

We will be having a joyful celebration to dedicate this great new addition to our community. Our Torah scroll is the latest link in a holy and eternal chain.

This project enables Chabad of the Main Line to be that rock and foundation for so many more at this time when funding is less, yet the needs are increasing daily. Please join together with us in this effort.

A. CAREER VERSES - $180

Accountant

1. Exodus 38:24 All the gold that was used for the work, in all the work of the sanctuary - the elevation offering of gold came to 29 talents and 730 shekels by the sanctuary weight.

2. Exodus 39:25-26 The silver of those of the community who were recorded came to 100 talents and 1775 shekels by the sanctuary weight; a half-shekel a head, half a shekel by the sanctuary weight, for each one who was entered in the records, from the age of twenty years up, 603,550 men.

3. Numbers 26:2 Take a census of the whole Israelite community from the age of twenty years up, by their ancestral houses, all Israelites able to bear arms.

4. Exodus 3 1:2 See, I have singled out by name Bezalel, son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

5. Exodus 31:3-5 I have endowed him (Bezalel) with a divine spirit of skill, ability, and knowledge in every kind of craft to make designs for work in gold, silver, and copper, to cut stones for setting and to carve wood - to work in every kind of craft.

6. Exodus 39:1 (weavers/ textiles) Of the blue, purple, and crimson yarns they also made the service vestments for officiating in the sanctuary.

7. Exodus 39:15 On the breastplate they made braided chains of corded work in pure gold.

8. Exodus 39:22 The robe for the ephod was made of woven work, of pure blue.

9. Exodus 39:27 They made tunics of fine linen, of woven work, for Aaron and his sons.

Leviticus 25:35-37 If your kinsman, being in straits, comes under your authority, and you hold him as though a resident alien, let him live by your side: Do not exact from him advance or accrued interest, but fear your God. Let him live your side as your kinsman. Do not lend him money at advance interest, or give him your food at accrued interest.
