On a Mac go to Force Quit to end the application?The Application’s Service Unavailable—this only happens to Windows Laptops. ?To resolve this follow these instructions:?? Screen—after an exam you may believe that Examplify has rendered your computer inoperable because you are missing the taskbar or your display is black—to fix this issue follow the steps here:?: The Application's Service is Unavailable MessageHow-ToIn certain circumstances, upon starting Examplify you may encounter this error indicating that the service is not running:?Step1:? Right click the Examplify icon on your device, from the menu options, choose Run as Administrator. If you receive the same error message, proceed to Step 2, otherwise you have resolved this error.?Step 2:?Navigate to the Services ConsoleClick the Start button or Cortana and type in “Services” to search for the local services application. Launch the application??Step 3: Restart the?ExamplifyServiceIn the?Services?application, find the item named?ExamplifyServiceStep 4: Double click the?ExamplifyService. This will open up a new window. Ensure that the?Startup Type?is set to?Automatic.Step 5: Click the?Start?button on the left. After this service starts, Examplify will open as normal.?Note: If the service is not listed, you will need to re-install Examplify and/or check your antivirus settings to remove it from the quarantine.Examplify: Resolve a Black Screen, Missing Task Manager, or Missing Power Options on Windows 8 & 10Feb 12, 2018?TutorialHow-ToReboot the computer completely by striking?Ctrl+Alt+Del.Hold down shift, click the power symbol on the bottom right of the screen, and then click “Restart” (do not release shift until after you click restart.) This will boot the computer into a new menu.???Click 'Troubleshoot'.??Click 'Advanced Options'.???Click 'Startup Settings'.??On this page, click “Restart” and the computer will boot into another menu giving more boot-options.???Select 'Safe Mode with Command Prompt'?from the menu. This will reboot your computer.??You will now need to log in. Please ensure that you are logging into your windows account with administrator privileges. If you took your exam on an account without administrator privileges, it is likely that you will need to seek Microsoft Support as this is part of our minimum system requirements to run Examplify. You can reference our Windows minimum system requirements: Click Here!?In the command prompt, type in ‘explorer.exe’ without the quotes to bring up the file explorer. Type enter.???Navigate to this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Examsoft\Examplify\Services?Scroll down until you see an application file named EsWinsr.????Right-click this file and click Run as an Administrator. This will bring up another command prompt that will revert the security settings of Examplify. Press any key to exit when prompted.???????Return to the original Command Prompt. Type ‘shutdown –r’ without the quotes. This will trigger a native reboot of the computer, which will take longer than normal. The device will reboot successfully into Windows having successfully force-closed Examplify.?Please contact ExamSoft Support if you cannot resolve your blackscreen. ................
