Corporate Events Guide HOW TO BE AN OFFICE HERO AT YOUR NEXT EVENT
Time to Party!
Have you been tasked with organizing an office party? Don't worry, we understand your plight. Corporate events can be a drag with uninspired finger foods and stodgy speeches that never end. The fun side of business should actually be fun, and the corporate party planners at Gilmore Catering would like to share.
Be the office hero! Save yourself and your colleagues from the same old corporate parties with these unique ideas suited for any occasion.
ANGELA SHEA:
Vintage Christmas
I love a good old fashioned Chrismas and mixing vintage style into my parties. Guests will feel like they're in an old Christmas movie filled with memorable traditions and classic holiday foods.
Take a page from It's a Wonderful Life and White Christmas, and host a vintageinspired holiday party. With retro details in the decor, food, and entertainment, your guests will be transported to a simpler, cozier time known for chestnuts roasting on an open fire and yule-tide carols being sung by a choir. Bonus points if everyone dresses up in their best Bing Crosby- and Ginger Rogers-inspired outfits!

LORI BLOODWORTH:
Big Kid Pizza Party
Maybe I haven't completely grown up, but I just love pizza parties.
My taste for quality pizza has evolved though. I'd ditch the stack of greasy, lifeless pizza boxes on the break room table and opt for fresh, made-to-order wood-fired pizza from our mobile pizza cart.
Add to the fun with lawn games like cornhole and badminton. I like to ask the guests to create the party's soundtrack by compiling a list of their favorite summer songs.
Perfect for: Corporate People: 150 Location: Off-Premise (at a park or area with lots of outdoor space) Food: Buffet set-up with picnic-style seating stations Menu: Root Chips & Goat Cheese Fondue, Caesar Salad,
Wood-Fired Pizza Cart, Chef's Garden Pasta Salad, Bumble Bee Classic Ice Cream Bar Cart

KIM LEMMEN:
Parisian Masquerade Ba
I think you should go elaborate and big if you can. Make it memorable by transporting your guests to France for the evening with a Parisian Masquerade Ball.
I love this versatile theme because it's perfect from dusk to evening; outdoors and indoors. A French-inspired menu, dreamy decor, and ornate masks will create a dynamic air of fun and mystery. Think Cirque du Soleil meets The Great Gatsby while retaining the comforts of a Michigan backyard bonfire.
Perfect for: Corporate
People: 150?300

Masks for all! Low lighting with candles for a late-night Parisian cafe vibe, accentuated with festival lights and fire pits. Street performers, harpists, or a string quartet that will transport your guests to the dreamy streets of Paris. A harpist or string quartet will set the mood during cocktail hour, followed by a DJ to rocket the party into late night gear.
MADELINE MCILHARGEY:
Winter Wonderland
Michigan natives know how to make the most of every season. I adore Winter Wonderlandthemed holiday parties.
Imagine beginning the evening with ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle, followed by warm ups at B.O.B.'s Brewery with fresh smoked meats, street foods, hot beverages, and B.O.B.'s beer... Even a west coast transplant, who works in sales couldn't scoff at that itinerary.
Companies love this dual-location holiday party because guests are active and love getting a taste of downtown Grand Rapids in the winter.

People: 25?50
Location: Rosa Parks Circle followed by B.O.B.'s Brewery
Food: Food is serving in roaming stations.

Smoked Meats Slider Station (pulled pork, brisket, chicken), Smoked Bratwurst, Baby Elephant Ears

Beer from B.O.B.'s Brewery

Additional Details:
Don't let the entertainment end! An acoustic performance during dinner and drinks at B.O.B.'s Brewery can be a light musical accompaniment for the evening.
