NEWS FROM NOELLE

INDEX

WOW... What an incredible Season!!! As we move into the sizzling days of summer, I am excited to start the summer with a bang. Our Memorial Day Potluck BBQ with Vito Ameruoso is going to be a great way to get our summer party started.

Renovations of the Town Center ballroom will begin soon and we will be modifying our summer activities. We will be offering some smaller gatherings by the pool and take to the road for some local fun. There will be schedule changes as enter July and August.

These renovations will give the Activities Department and the Activity Advisory Committee an opportunity to get organized and fine tune some of our events. We will definitely be"cleaning house" and making the Town Center sparkle and shine with new and exciting activities.

We love to hear your ideas and suggestions. We hope to use some new technologies to get all the up to date information on activities, events and trips to you.

I am tremendously excited about the shows we are planning for the 2019/2020 Season. I anticipate, that with our new renovations including a new dance floor and staging, you are going to enjoy the VW entertainment more than you ever have before.

As I have mentioned in other issues of the Talk of the Walk, we are currently building our volunteer base. I am truly no longer surprised by the unbelievable talent that resides in VillageWalk Bonita. I hope that if you are willing to share your talents and skills with your community. VillageWalk Bonita is special. Friendship and community involvement is so apparent here. I want to thank my Activity Advisory Committee for another year of a job well done. For those who have chosen to move on to other priorities, I want to say "You're the BEST!!" I am very blessed to always have great participation and volunteers who never let me down. I look forward to creating more memories with all of you. Have a wonderful summer and travel safely.

Smiling With Gratitude,

Noelle

CERT MEETING Wednesday, May at 5:30 pm Wednesday, June 19 at 5:30 pm

CDD MEETING Tuesday, May 21 at 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 18 at 3:00 pm

Happy Mother's Day and Father's Day

to all our VillageWalk residents!

Message from the General Manager

Hello residents of VillageWalk Bonita, Team KW is working diligently behind the scenes to improve the community and provide top notch amenities to residents and guests alike. The front office is an important area of focus as we strive to create an efficient system where residents receive a warm welcome, and are serviced in a timely manner. If at any time you do not feel this way please let me know... I welcome your feedback!

There are several projects going on now and some that will commence in the near future. Below is a quick recap of current and future projects as well as their estimated month of completion for 2019: ? New Pickleball Courts ? June ? Playground Replacement ? June ? Event Rooms Remodel ? August ? AV Upgrade ? August ? Restaurant Screen Terrace ? May ? Walkway Pressure Washing ? Ongoing ? New Community Website ? July ? HOA Document Re-write Final Draft ? May ? BSU Water Line: SE Corner ? August ? New Street Signs ? August ? Maintenance Yard Fencing ? May

In addition, we know there have been a few glitches with the carwash system and the option to choose a carwash at the gas pump. We are working with your Board of Directors on a solution for both the carwash and gas pumps that residents will be happy with; more to come on this subject in the near future.

We are also working on improving the quality and efficiency of vehicle and pedestrian access at the front entrance while maintaining a safe and secure community for residents. Lastly, thank you everyone for welcoming me and allowing me the opportunity to learn all I can about VillageWalk. I look forward to working with all of you and accomplishing many great things!

John Rowland, LCAM General Manager

HOA Board of Directors Meetings Online

Announcing a new way to view the HOA Board of Director meetings each month. You no longer need to be in VillageWalk to access the broadcast live. The new process will replace the use of channel 195 which is only available within VillageWalk. Below is the process to initially setup and access the live streams. You can also use the process to view the recordings of the meetings anytime you wish via the internet.

Setup Process: 1. YouTube account - if you do not have a YouTube or Gmail account, go to and follow the Sign In instructions to create one - if you already have a YouTube account log in to the account. Alternatively, if you have a Gmail account, login to that account. In the upper right hand corner, you will see a 3x3 matrix of dots. Click that and select YouTube to get to your YouTube account.

2. Setup YouTube Subscription - Once you are logged in to YouTube, enter VW AVTeam into the Search - Click on the link to that YouTube channel - Once on the channel's page click the Subscribe link

3. Access live streams - Once you have completed steps 1 and 2 above you can access the live stream of the Board meetings on YouTube. Go to . On the left of the page you will see the option labelled Subscriptions. Click that option. Once the meeting has actually started, a small thumbnail snapshot of the meeting will appear with a box in red that says Go Live. Click that box to view the live stream. Stream will be available as the meetings begin. The thumbnail and Go Live box will not appear until then so if you log on to the page early you will not see these boxes until the meeting starts.

4. Access recorded Board meetings - Within about an hour of the completion of a Board meeting, the video will be available for replay. Go to the VW AVTeam YouTube channel (follow the process in step 3 above). You will see a listing of all available Board meeting replays; simply click the link for the meeting you wish to view. Note that links to the videos will still be available from the VW website.

Safety Tips In Your Home and Community

Here are some tips that the Lee County Sheriff's Office feel you should know. Even though we live in a safe community there are many outsiders in our community every day. No community is totally secure.

IN YOUR HOME

? Lock your house whenever you leave it. If you have an alarm system, turn it on when you leave.

? If you do not have a glass door or sidelight install a 180 degree peep hole.

? If you do have a glass door or sidelight and it is not high impact glass, change your lock to have a keyed lock inside. Its easy to break the glass and just turn the knob to unlock the door.

? Keep your garage door closed at all times (also in the VW rules).

? If you have a glass door or sidelight change your dead bolt lock to have a keyed side on the interior. Do not leave the key in the lock.

? When away keep at least one light on inside your home.

? Do not hide keys outside your home.Do not mark your keys with your name or address.

? Do not advertise that you live alone.

? DO NOT OPEN YOUR DOOR FOR STRANGERS.

IN YOUR CAR

? ALWAYS LOCK YOUR CAR

? If you think you are being followed do not drive home. Drive to the nearest police station, fire house or gas station.

? If you have car troubles, raise the hood and stay in the car with the doors locked and windows closed. If someone stops to help and you did not make a call for help, ask them to do it for you. Only crack the window when speaking with them.

? Carry a cell phone.

? Park in well lighted areas.

Gate Information

Some information regarding the gates:

1. Please do not tailgate. Everyone is in a hurry to get home but you must not try to race to get under the bar. If for some reason your barcode doesn't read, the gate will come down and cause damage to your car and the gate system.

2. All traffic at the gate is monitored by video and audio systems. Anyone hitting the gates will be charged for the repairs.

3. If you have questions regarding the rules of entry, please contact the HOA for clarification. These rules were made by the HOA for the benefit of all of the residents at VillageWalk. The guards cannot make exceptions.

Architectural Control Committee

ACC Meetings will be held at 1:30 pm every other Monday. The next ACC Meetings are May 13 & 27 and June 10 & 24. Just a reminder, if you would like to make any changes to the exterior of your home, you must get approval from the ACC committee. You will find the ACC guidelines and ACC change forms on the VillageWalk website. Please be sure to include ALL required documents (including a survey of your home) with your application.
