The initial dose in adults is 12 mg. A second dose of 12 mg can be given after a 1 - 2 minute interval if the tachyarrhythmia has not stopped. If after administration of Adenosine the tachyarrhythmia stops briefly and resumes, further dosing will probably not be effective. Pediatric: 0.1 - 0.2 mg/kg may be repeated as in the adult dosage pattern.
