Breast cellulitis is an early complication of breast-conserving surgery. Postoperative breast abscess may occur months later. Complications secondary to radiation include brachial plexopathy, rib fractures, soft tissue necrosis requiring surgical resection, long-term cardiac toxicity, and radiation pneumonitis.
